Julia Roberts has been named the winner of the 2007 American Cinematheque award. The star was chosen unanimously by the non-profit organization’s selection committee that honors career achievements, Variety magazine reports. Roberts, who won an Oscar for Erin Brockovich in 2001, will collect the prize at a ceremony in Beverly Hills on October 12. Much deserved, I am a big fan. Now this should be a role model for those young Hollywood mishaps. Two movies of her that I’ve really liked are Notting Hills and Pretty Woman with Richard Gere. I hope this award only inspires her to go on acting and doing what she does best, being America’s sweetheart. Now though she is enjoying being a mother and mostly stays at home taking care of the kids. Acting is so many movies but she could land an Oscar only in 2001 for Erin Brockovich.
