Tina Turner wants to help Amy Winehouse. The ‘Simply the Best’ singer – whose ex-husband Ike Turner battled various drug addictions – says ‘Rehab’ star Amy needs to kick her habit.

Tina, 68, who is currently planning her comeback tour, said: “My view of Amy is that her problems started before her success. And the drugs are making it hard for her to deal with everything. When you take drugs that feeling passes and you have nothing. I don’t even know if you can remember what that feeling was. You get nothing from drugs except a feeling and bad health.”

Tina claims 24-year-old Amy can enjoy a long and successful career – but only if she cleans up her act. She added: “If she was clean now she would be celebrating now because she is wonderful. Her voice is absolutely timeless.”
