I totally approve of people coming out, especially after what happened to PROP 8.
Comedian Wanda Sykes surprised the organizers of the gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Saturday by not only showing up - she was in town to perform standup - but also coming out publicly as a lesbian for the first time.
Good for her!
I think more celebrities should follow her lead! (calling Queen Latifah and Jodie Foster!)
If people of color saw more gay and lesbian examples in the media then maybe the black vote would not have been 70% in favor of banning gay marriage.
