Mickey Rourke is being touted as Hollywood’s latest comeback king and he has vowed that he will make amends for lost time post recapturing his acting career, acknowledging he’ll be dropped like a rock if he falls off the rails again.
At the age of 52 Mickey managed to make a triumph return to the sliver screen after more than a 10 years in the Hollywood wilderness battling drug addiction. But lady luck smiled on his on his return movie The Wrestler and that role has already earned him a string of award nominations – and he is hotly tipped for an Oscar.
That’s really a dream comeback for anyone, it does show that life is kind to those who give it a second chance, life is willing to forgive it you are ready to correct your mistakes and life is ready to be happy if after losing some of your hair on your scalp you are willing lick some ass.
Yes exactly life is not kind he must have kissed several producer’s ass just to sit in their office. The showbiz is a business of give and take and this chap really would have had his ass skimmed off before landing that role.
