Heather Ledger’s former flame Naomi Watts still find it difficult to deal with Ledger’s death even a year after that tragedy. Ledger was just 28 years old when he died due to prescription drug overdose. Ledger and Watts met and fell in love while shooting “Ned Kelly”. She said it was like admiration at first sight because she did not have much idea about his work before she met him and did a scene with him. Watts said it must be Ledger’s eyes which can tell a thousand tales in just one glance.
Watts and Ledger had an on and off relationship which finally ended in 2004. However, they still kept in touch even after the split up so coping up with his death is incredibly difficult for Watts. Watts already has two children with her partner Liev Schreiber. They do not however feel the pressure of getting married saying they both came from households where divorce was commonly practiced. What is important, Watts said, is that they have a family and they are happy.
