Cameron Diaz: Getting old is wonderful

Cameron Diaz says that ageing is “wonderful” and something she does not fear.

Diaz, 36, told a US magazine:”Thank God we get older because if we’re not getting older, we’re dead. This is a much better option. And if we’re not going forward, then we’re stagnant, and we’re stuck. And I’ve been stuck before. And I don’t like it. It’s not fun.”

Diaz recently split from UK actor Paul Sculfor.

She said: “You gain knowledge …. And you grow. There’s nothing wrong with that. That’s a wonderful thing. I don’t have to prove anything to anybody because I know who I am. I have my own sense of myself. The things that I do, I do for myself. I do them to challenge myself. And I do them to have my own experience. And, hopefully, I’m also giving something back to the world.”
