Kill Bill actor David Carradine has reportedly been found dead in his hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand, either late on Wednesday or early on Thursday.
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy confirmed the loss but would provide no further details out of respect for Carradine’s family.
Thai English-language newspaper The Nation alleged that the 72-year-old actor was found hanged in a luxury hotel room and died as a result of a suicide, while other reports including the manager say he died of natural causes.
The hotel maid reportedly entered his room the following morning and found him half-naked in a closet.
It is claimed that a police investigation found that he hanged himself with a piece of rope that is used with curtains.
Police claim there were no signs of a fight or assualt.
David’s father was the famous actor John Carradine, and David was best known for his role in the TV drama Kung Fu.
He also played the role of Bill in Quentin Tarantino’s cult film Kill Bill Vols 1 and 2.
