Now here’s somebody who takes work very seriously. It seems that Gwen Stefani has already considered the possibility that she might not work in music forever and she has developed a back-up career in the form of fashion design. This is what Gwen Stefani said on the matter: “I wanted so badly to have a backup plan for when I’m not performing anymore. Let’s be realistic: It’s not going to be like this forever. So I wanted to continue having something creative to do.” And this is not just talk… Gwen Stefani has apparently already launched her own fashion line back in 2004. Now that’s real professionalism there… Lindsay Lohan should start taking notes.
Former Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher has denied reports that she too had an affair with Tiger Woods.
The 34-year-old mum was at the centre of online rumours claiming she was one of the girls that had an affair with the American golfer after previously making comments that he was ‘incredibly handsome’.
However, she has now said: “It was very upsetting. I knew I was being talked about and that’s why lawyers were involved.
“But what you do in this job is get quite strong because you know things will come at you.”
Ten years ago, she made comments about the golfer and said: “He’s exactly like he comes across in public – a wonderful, kind and talented man. Not to mention incredibly handsome.”
Sandra Bullock has left her marital home in Southern California, according to a People Magazine exclusive.
A source told People that Bullock, fresh off her Best Actress Oscar win, left on Monday following the emergence of rumours of her husband Jesse James’s cheating with a tattoo model.
Bullock suddenly pulled out of the London premiere of her widely acclaimed film, The Blind Side, fanning the gossip.
Bullock, 45, and James, 40, were married in 2005 after meeting the year before on a tour of the Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage, which starred James, a motorcycle entrepreneur.
James has three children, a daughter and a son with his first wife, Karla, and a daughter with his second wife, Janine Lindemulder.
Tiger Woods’ wife has met lawyers as their reconciliation hits a bump, according to US reports.
Elin Nordegren has reportedly had a “marathon session” with her lawyer at her rented home, where she lives away from the shamed golfer.
Although the couple have spent a lot of time together in recent weeks, they are yet to go out openly as a couple and she still is not wearing her wedding ring.
And according to RadarOnline, Elin is still particularly upset at Woods allegedly sleeping with porn stars as part of his affairs.
“Their relationship is still going through severe ups and downs,” a source told the website.
“In the last few days, Elin has been upset with Tiger and they haven’t been as close.”
The source added: “She allowed Tiger to hug her and kiss her on the cheek last week, outside, in the neighbourhood. But lately, things have been colder.”
Although Woods is desperate to get their marriage back on track, Elin is still resisting.
According to the site, the meeting with lawyers is to make sure she and the children are taken care of financially “no matter what happens”.
The source said: “She is not talking about divorce.”
“At this point, Tiger would give her pretty much anything she wants,” said the source. “He wants her back. He wants his life back.”
With the production and pending release of ‘The Runaways’ biopic, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, the original band members Joan Jett and Cherie Currie are planning on heading back to the studio. In fact, the song that the two recorded for the film’s soundtrack was the first time that the rock stars had played music together again since 1977! Cherie said that when they were in the studio, it “was as if time had stood still, as if these last 35 years never happened. We were on the mark. It was incredible. We had a fantastic time… It was just a blast.” They had such a blast that they will be at it again this summer. Cherie said “I know I’m going to be doing shows over the summer. I’ve written a few songs. We’ll see what happens. Am I banking on it? No. I’ve got my chainsaw and my wood and I’m very happy. But I know I’m going to be doing some things here and there, and we’ll see what comes of it… We’re definitely going to work together in music.”
Indiana Jones star Shia LaBeouf has revealed that he has a fake hand – made out of skin and bone taken from his own hip – following a car accident.
It is the first time, LaBeouf, 23, has ever spoken about the horrific car crash that damaged his hand.
The young actor made his comments in an interview in the April issue of US GQ.
LaBeouf, who is dating Brit actress Carey Mulligan, 24, told the men’s magazine that he was left with a mangled hand after someone crashed into his truck and it flipped over in 2008.
The Transformers star has since had several operations to reattach his severed fingers using skin and bone from his own hip, and was snapped wearing a cast on his hand for several months.
He said: “I had a green [light]. This f***** ran a red light. And he flipped my truck and he shovelled it on my hand.
“And my fingers are in the street… they’re off, they’re under the truck door, man. This [hand] is fake, dude. This is a hip bone and the skin that was left over.”
On a less serious note, LaBeouf – who appears on the front cover of the magazine – praises his Oscar-nominated actress girlfriend, who co-stars with him in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
He said: “She’s an unbelievably thought-provoking actress, the most talented actress I’ve ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds.”
He added: “Neither one of us are fame whores. It works out. It’s not like we’re the premiere couple; we’re not the red-carpet king and queen.”
The Tourist star Angelina Jolie has donated $75,000 to open a new primary school in Afghanistan, according to reports.
The school in Tangi recently opened 18 months after Jolie, 34, visited the area and expressed her concern at the lack of education for the children there.
The new school, which can accommodate 800 girls in two shifts, has eight classrooms, four administration buildings, a well and eight latrines.
One local man reportedly said: “This is what we needed here and I believe there is a need for every community if we want to build the future of our country – to build schools and get education.”
Green Zone star Matt Damon has said his children don’t know that he is famous.
The 39-year-old actor is best-known for movies such as the Bourne flicks, Saving Private Ryan and the Ocean’s series.
Damon and wife Luciana have two children together – Isabella, three, and Gia, 19 months. Luciana also has an older daughter, Alexia, 11, from a previous relationship, who lives with them.
Asked if his kids know what he does, he said to UK newspaper Metro: “Definitely not. Well, the 11-year-old obviously knows. She hasn’t seen all the movies but has seen enough to know that’s what I do. The little ones don’t have any idea – we’re trying to keep it that way.”
Jennifer Aniston has poked fun at her Bounty Hunter co-star Gerard Butler’s battle with the bulge.
Aniston initially praised Butler, with whom she has been romantically linked, before telling US TV’s Live With Regis & Kelly: “Gerard is just so masculine and loveable and soft at the same time.”
But asked to dish the dirt in advance of the Scottish actor’s appearance on the show a few days later, Aniston smiled and said: “Ask him about how his training went throughout The Bounty Hunter, or his diet, or his commitment to his diet.”
She added: “Jim, who’s his trainer, literally took bread out of his fridge.
“He just likes sweets – it’s really kind of cute.”
Putting on a Scottish accent, the former Friends star added: “Cake – he gets so excited. And then literally, ‘Don’t tell!’
“Then he has this one scene where he comes out with just a towel from the shower, so he has to look extra good.
“At the end of the day, I see his assistant walking by with a cupcake. I put a note in it that said, ‘Are you sure you want to eat me?’
Jessica Biel ditched the Hollywood glamour to scale Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.
The star left her make-up at home as she climbed the 5800m mountain to raise awareness for clean drinking water projects in Africa.
Biel was joined on the‘Summit On The Summit by actor Emile Hirsch, Lupe Fiasco and musician Kenna for the treacherous climb last January.
A documentary crew from MTV followed the group as they flew from Los Angeles to Africa to climb the mountain. “I did not know if I was going to make it. I was thinking ‘What am I doing?’ I felt hopeless,” said Jessica Biel after she reached the summit. I am really, really happy that I made it to the summit but I am ready to go down.”
Jake Gyllenhaal, 29, found friendship and camaraderie in his on-screen brother, Tobey Maguire.
The pair starred in Brothers – as brothers. The movie, which also stars Natalie Portman, tells the story of a man who comforts the wife and children of his brother after he goes missing in Afghanistan.
Gyllenhaal said of Maguire: “We’d work out together, we’d play basketball together. Not only is he a great actor, he’s also a great producer in some ways. He’s 100 per cent always involved.”
The experience has left Gyllenhaal, who is brother to actress Maggie, committed to projects where the rapport is tangible. He explained: “I don’t believe any more I can make a movie when I don’t care – about the other people in the process. I don’t think I’m any good when I don’t interact.”
Gyllenhaal recently split with top-earning actress Reese Witherspoon. He said: “Whatever I dreamed and hoped for in my career and life is not how it’s gone in a lot of ways and I love that.”
Jewish militants warned Bar Refaeli not to marry American superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, according to a UK report.
Refaeli, 24, an Israeli, has come under fire in her homeland for alleged failure to honour her patriot duties, which include mandatory national service and paying taxes.
But a nationalist group named Lehava reportedly fears she will dilute her race if she weds DiCaprio. Lehava took to writing to the supermodel, stating: “It is not by chance you were born Jewish. Your grandmother and her grandmother did not dream one of their descendants would remove future generations from the Jewish people. Come to your senses. Don’t marry Leonardo DiCaprio.”
Reports have DiCaprio and Refaeli back together again after breaking up last year. They started dating in 2005.
Zooey Deschanel’s band with M.Ward, She & Him, recently released the music video for their sophomore album’s upcoming single ‘In the Sun’ and it’s bound to make anyone’s day. Not only is the tune catchy and sweet, just like most of the music they produce, but the High School hula hooping, dance party that is the video definitely tugs at you. I am definitely excited for the indie band’s upcoming album ‘Volume Two’. With music such as this, I’m actually wondering why the actress/singer hasn’t gotten huge yet. Maybe I should rally for more supporters for her and her band.
Apparently the American Idol contestant who almost took the big crown last year made some comments about Susan Boyle a while back. Adam Lambert’s comments were not on the very friendly side so he decided he would like to reformulate the ideas… or at least he would like everybody to reconsider what he meant. This is what he said on the matter: “It came across a bit harsher than how it actually went down. But I’m not a fan of the record, it wasn’t a lie.” Whatever the man first said, it seems it wasn’t too good, but it’s a good thing Adam Lambert didn’t wait too long to say that he didn’t mean it. That’s what will keep him from turning into John Mayer.
A young couple are planning the wedding of their dreams – thanks to Conan O’Brien making the bride-to-be the ONLY person he follows on Twitter.
Talkshow legend Conan randomly picked 19-year-old Sarah Killen as the lone person he would follow on the social networking site.
Suddenly, they were flooded by people reading her tweets – gaining massive interest in her plight in trying to save enough money to wed John Slowick Jr.
The couple say they had managed to save just $30 – but thanks to their Twitter fame, they have since been offered wine, desserts, a dress and even a honeymoon.
Now they are looking at one more stroke of generosity to make it even more perfect.
“I want him to be my best man at the wedding,” John, 21, said of the talkshow host.
The couple from Michigan say the attention has totally changed their expectations for their low-budget wedding this September.
“We went from being really hard-up and now we have thousands of people trying to help us,” Killen said. “We had $30 saved up, and now the things we don’t have people are going to help us with.”
Director Martin Scorsese is the latest filmmaker to want to make a film in 3D.
The 67-year-old recently directed Leonardo DiCaprio’s new movie Shutter Island and said he would like to direct a movie in 3D in the future following the success of flicks such as Avatar and Alice In Wonderland.
He said: “I would like to. I’m very excited by 3D. I was 10 years old when the first 3D wave occurred in 1953. Why should we be limited?
“I mean, I’m seeing you and the space is real. Time isn’t real. Time is abstract. Space is real.”
The director of one of Corey Haim’s last movies has paid tribute to the former teen idol who died earlier today, aged 38, of a suspected accidental drugs overdose.
Michael Masucci directed Haim in the indie thriller American Sunset, and he revealed that the former Lost Boys star, who was upfront about his former drug problems, was always very professional and “a joy to work with”.
He said: “Corey was the ultimate professional.
“He was always very upfront and frank about his previous drug problems, but there was never any hint of it while he filmed American Sunset.
“There was no evidence of any drug or pill use on the film set, he was extremely hard-working.
“He always turned up on time, knew his lines and was friendly with all the cast and crew, he was a joy to work with.”
He added: “Corey was extremely talented and that showed through in his work and he will be sorely missed by me and a lot of people in the industry.”
Masucci also revealed that he had jumped at the chance to cast Haim in the lead role after hearing the actor wanted to make a comeback.
He said: “Like anyone my age I knew of Corey from the Lost Boys and those teen movies in the ’80s and early ’90s.
“I jumped at the chance to meet him…”
Masucci is hoping the movie will get a release date later this year.
It looks like when he’s not breaking spirits on American Idol, the Earl of Exigency can be quite the charming and giving man, at least when it comes to his fiancée, Mezghan Hussainy. It looks like Simon Cowell spoils her every chance he gets, or so a source relates: “Red roses, French lingerie, Prada bags, you name it. He gives her something new practically every day. One particularly sweet surprise was private his-and-hers Swedish massages in their London hotel room.” It looks like she’s got it made… at least until they get married probably when Simon Cowell will unleash the full extent of his malefic genius. But until that time, it’s just the torture of innocent American Idol contestants for the Earl of Exigency.
