French Singer’s Daughter in the Hospital

French singer Johnny Hallyday and actress Nathalie Baye received some unfortunate news earlier this week as their daughter, 26-year old actress Laura Smet, was rushed to a hospital in Paris after a suicide attempt. Her boyfriend called the police to report the incident. According to reports, they believe that Laura took a mixture of meds and alcohol. The paramedics on scene administered first aid and then transferred her to a local hospital where she’s said to be recovering. In an odd twist, Laura’s dad recently sued surgeon Stephane Delajoux, her boyfriend’s brother, after he claimed that the doctor botched a surgery to his back. There’s no word if the legal drama had anything to do with her attempted suicide but she did say in an interview that she was torn between siding with her father and her loyalty towards her boyfriend.
