Elisabeth Hasselbeck has returned to The View alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters.

While on maternity leave, she saw such A-listers as Victoria Beckham and La Toya Jackson stand in for her.

Hasselbeck, whose new baby, Isaiah, is her third child said that “three is perfect”.

She added: “I do like my maternity leave. I call it Maternity Leave Me Alone. I like to have everything shut off. I didn’t want to tap back in. I just wanted everything to take a second seat because it’s difficult when you plug back in to separate from everything again.”

Hasselbeck said she kept up with her co-panellists. “We emailed back and forth and kept loose contact. They checked in on me, which is incredible, and I needed to hear from them. But I liked having that separation for a little bit.”

David Beckham’s LA Galaxy experiment has been pronounced one of the 10 biggest US sporting flops of all time.

Maxim men’s magazine said of the British star’s stateside sojourn: “Three seasons into what was supposed to be the magic bullet that finally made soccer relevant (i.e. profitable, interesting, televised) in the US, David Beckham’s much publicised move to [Major League Soccer] and his grotesquely huge contract are nothing short of a catastrophe.”

The former Manchester United star’s move over to play for the Galaxy cost £125 million and was plugged as the answer to soccer in the US.

But since transplanting himself and his celebrity wife and three sons to LA, Beckham has not managed to stop playing in Europe and sufficiently focus on his US commitment. The move got off to a very inauspicious start when serious injury put him out of action even before he got started.

Beckham was recently confronted by angry fans who see his part-time move to AC Milan as proof positive of the failed relationship.

Mel B loves her pal Victoria Beckham’s fashion line and can’t resist wearing her designs.

The former Spice Girl said she has already picked out a dress for a band reunion.

She said: “Victoria and me text all the time. But I rarely get to see her as we’re always so busy travelling all over the world.

“All of us Spice Girls are still in touch, though. In fact, I’m going out with Geri and Emma while I’m here, and I’ll be wearing one of Victoria’s dresses.”

During her trip to the UK, the singer drew in the crowds when she emerged from a giant cake to mark the 10th birthday of lingerie company Ultimo.

She appeared in her underwear at Debenhams department store in London.

David and Victoria Beckham flew into Essex unannounced to surprise Becks’s mother on her 60th birthday, it was reported.

The couple, who live in Los Angeles, brought their three sons to a dinner at a restaurant near Chelmsford where Becks’s mother Sandra was celebrating.

The family sidled their way in through the kitchen. “They crept in through the back so they could surprise the birthday girl. There were gasps of delight when they walked in with a lots of hugs and kisses,” a source said.

David, Victoria, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, 6 and Cruz, 4, sat down to a £20-a-head meal at the Blue Bridge in Writtle on Friday night. David delivered an after-dinner speech. “It was just like any other family birthday party. Their children were running around with all the other kids,” the source said.

The following day, Beckham drove Brooklyn to a flower shop, where the boy bought a yellow bouquet for his granny.

On Saturday night, the pair enjoyed dinner with Victoria’s side of the family. Victoria appeared chic in a black evening dress with black pumps, while David wore a slim-line dinner suit and stunning black tie.

They reportedly went on to a sophisticated bash at The Ivy afterward with Posh’s parents and her sister Louise and her boyfriend.

Posh and Becks are reportedly planning to fly to the Seychelles to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on July 4 and to have booked an entire resort for the event.

Victoria Beckham has reignited her feud with Britney Spears.

The Spice Girls star – who first fell out with Britney when the ‘Toxic’ star reportedly refused to sit next to her at prestigious Los Angeles’ hotel Chateau Marmont last year – has now blasted the 26-year-old for not having any personal input into her perfume line.

Speaking about the launch of her new dVb denim range for men, Victoria said: “I’m a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I’m not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, ‘Sell this perfume.’ This is a real passion of mine. People think all I do is go shopping like a miserable cow, but, in actual fact, I work bloody hard.”

Mother-of-three Victoria also revealed how she likes her husband, soccer star David Beckham, to wear his denims.

She added: “I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops – exactly how you see David when he’s out in his jeans and T-shirt. Do not pull them up tight and have your bulge showing. Let it hang! I didn’t want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me. It might be fashionable, but you are not going to get that from dVb.”

Victoria recently revealed she would hate to have Britney’s life, adding: “I could never live a life like Britney Spears, who is under the spotlight every day. “I couldn’t do that. I would go stir crazy. I need my privacy with my husband and children otherwise I’d just go loopy.”

We all know that celebrities can be just like regular people and love some karaoke. A couple of stars proved just that for Ellen DeGeneres’ 50th birthday celebration on Friday. The talk show host’s birthday was actually on Saturday, so, Happy Birthday Ellen!.

Stars on the video sang to the tune of Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’. Jake Gyllenhaal did a little lip synching and booty-shaking to it. Other celebrities who joined in on the fun were Victoria Beckham, Queen Latifah, Kate Walsh, Jamie Foxx, Paris Hilton, Sharon Osbourne, David Spade, Heidi Klum, Masi Oka and Celine Dion. It’s quite a funny clip.

Victoria Beckham has really surprised me on how low-key she actually is. She is so low-key that she even tried to get a pap kicked out of the mall when she was shopping around with her kids. Posh just wants to protect her children. She is so lovingly with her kids. She is the most powerful fashionista on earth and loves and protects her whole family. What a fantastic celeb, she proves again, that not all celebs are treating their descendants like rubbish or have to spend their time in jail and/or rehab. I think that’s the thing that bothers parents the most that the paps are so much after these celebs that they we won’t mind intruding their personal lives when the celebrity is out with the kids on a lovely afternoon shopping, the paps want the pics and will publish them with the kids having some ice-cream and chocolates. Well it’s her personal life and has very right to taking away that memory chip from that person clicking the photos.

Marc Jacobs is considered the bellwether designer of American fashion. So, what’s the outlook for next spring? Um, a lot of lingerie?

Jacobs presented his spring collection late Monday night to a packed crowd that had been waiting in the Lexington Avenue Armory for two hours. (Celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Sheryl Crow didn’t wait quite as long they seemed to know to show up “fashionably late.”)

But it looked like he could have used a little more time. Models were wearing what Jacobs called “scrap tops” and “one-half gowns” clothes that one presumes were left unfinished to make an ironic statement thus, giving the audience plenty of glimpses of their silk, satin and crepe bras, slips and tap pants.

On their own, individual elements of the outfits, such as a black lace cape or a moire sleeveless trench coat, were very attractive, but wearable clothes wasn’t the point here. Surely some of the stylists, retailers, editors and fashion fans went home shaking their heads. Jacobs, however, definitely had a plan.

The entire show was staged backward, beginning with his bow, then the finale and then running through the looks, starting with No. 56 and ending with No. 1, a denim cape and sequined gown. Some of the shoes had had heels built sideways into the uppers, while others skimmed so low on the heel they looked too small for the models even though they actually fit just fine.

It was almost surprising that Jacobs did indeed turn out clothes appropriate for warmer weather instead of parkas and cozy sweaters.

David Beckham attracted Hollywood stars Sunday the same way he draws defenders on the soccer field.

A glittery array of Oscar winners and entertainment world luminaries turned out for what was billed as an official welcome-to-Los Angeles party for the international soccer icon and his wife, pop singer Victoria.

With Tom Cruise and Will Smith playing co-hosts for the invitation-only bash at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary gallery, the guest list was long and deep.

Director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer were among the first to arrive. Brooke Shields was there. “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria popped in, followed by “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller, who managed the Spice Girls pop group that made Victoria Beckham famous.

Wesley Snipes and Quincy Jones came to welcome the soccer star, as did Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Vivica Fox showed up too.

The Beckhams arrived with Cruise, accompanied by wife Katie Holmes, and Smith, with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Cruise flew in for the bash from Germany, where he is shooting his newest film.

For the British Beckhams, it was a taste of classic Hollywood. A red carpet was rolled out at the entrance. A small army of police patrolled streets for blocks. There were limousines and TV cameras by the dozen. Helicopters thumped overhead.

Inside, the warehouse-like venue was transformed with couches, elaborate lighting and floral arrangements into a glittery nightclub. Music blared.

If Beckham was embarrassed by deafening cheers from fans at his sold-out debut Saturday as a Los Angeles Galaxy player, he must have been dumbfounded by the profusion of celebrity sparkle at the party.

But he said nothing on his way in, only waving at TV cameras and reporters.

David and Victoria are set to move into a $30 million mansion near Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The couple is moving to the States in the summer after the soccer star signed a deal with Los Angeles Galaxy and they are said to be keen on the seven-bedroom Beverly Hills property because of its secluded location.

A source told: ”It’s been a long process trying to find the ideal home but this one ticks the most boxes. The fact it is so close to Tom and Katie’s house is ideal for Victoria.”

The mansion includes a tennis court, swimming pool, home cinema, seven bathrooms, six fountains, two acres of landscaped gardens and a separate guest apartment. The long drives and secluded grounds offer security and privacy.

Neighbors of Tom and Katie confirmed that the Beckhams are interested in the house.

For Victoria this is the perfect place maybe because she will be close to her good friend Katie. They met last year on Paris’ Fashion Week and they have become very close. Victoria even attended Katie’s marriage to Tom last year.
