When rumours of a separation emerged last month, Rosie angrily insisted they “remain a family” and “love each other very much” – and insisted: “Those are the only words I am ever going to say.”

But now, seemingly in an unplanned aside, Rosie admits that her long-term partner actually moved out two years ago.

Talking to a psychic on her US radio show about her dog, Rosie said she got the dog three days after Carpenter left.

“What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog,” she said.

O’Donnell and Carpenter were married in a non-state-recognised ceremony in San Francisco in 2004 and have three adopted children – Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12 and Blake, 9 – as well as daughter Vivienne, 6, whom Carpenter gave birth to via artificial insemination.

Well it definitely didn’t take him long to move on. Since news broke that Michael Buble and Emily Blunt have ended their relationship, the singer has not sat at home moping. The Canadian crooner has already found a new lady friend. Her name is Heather Fogarty, an American musician whom I’ve never really heard of. I think that she’s either the rebound girl or the home wrecker. I don’t think anyone finds a new girl that fast unless they happen to be a player. And I don’t think that Michael’s a player. Tony was supposedly about to ask her to marry him! An inside source says that the QB was organizing an “intimate dinner for friends and family” which was set to take place in a few weeks to announce the engagement. Another source adds “Jessica has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married, and with all the Ashlee wedding talk and Jess’ dad’s involvement, Tony was obviously feeling it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he just couldn’t go through with the proposal and that’s what’s caused the break.”

Friends of the ‘American Idol’ judge claim she has separated from restaurateur JT Torregiani, after less than a year together.

However, JT is not upset about the break-up because he wasn’t committed to Paula. A source said: “He wasn’t that serious about it and hadn’t invested too much in the relationship.”

Paula, 45, sparked rumors her romance might be on the rocks when she failed to show at the opening of JT’s new restaurant Beso, which he has launched with ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria, in March. At the bash, JT was spotted flirting with female guests.

Paula recently spoke about her desire to settle down and start a family. She said: “I do want children. I’ll probably adopt because I think it’ll be in the next three to five years. I wouldn’t necessarily adopt from abroad like some celebs. I just want a healthy baby.”
