Her books have become international bestsellers, but now Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is the star of a comic book about her life.

And like her novels – and the film on which they are based – copies of the comic sold out in 24 hours.

The book tells Meyer’s life story and how she was inspired to write the Twilight series about werewolves and vampires, after having a dream about the characters.

The 35-year-old mother-of-three is the latest influential woman to be featured in the Female Force biography series, published by Bluewater Productions.

The stories of Oprah Winfrey, Caroline Kennedy, Michelle Obama and, most recently, the late Princess Diana have also featured in the series.

Bluewater Productions president Darren G Davis said: “Comic books are meant to entertain, yes, but just as often are used as educational and inspirational tools for a variety of ages.”

He added: “In fact, the Female Force series tries to focus on female empowerment and provide biographies that show the whole story of a subject’s life.”

Tennis legend Chris Evert has admitted she “misses” estranged husband Greg Norman, just weeks after laughing off concerns over her wellbeing following the split.

The former champ, who announced her separation with the golf great last month, was hosting her annual charity tennis tournament when she made the surprising admission.

As she arrived on the red carpet at the event’s gala night in Boca Raton, Florida, she was asked if she was a “happy woman”.

“I’m happy with this event,” she first said. But then, after a brief silence, she added: “Greg is missed. I miss him. He was always a big part of this.”

She would not discuss what the future holds for her and Norman.

Norman had been a regular participant at the event, but was missing from the line-up this year.

The pair married in the Bahamas in June 2008, following the conclusion of the Great White Shark’s bitter divorce with Laura Andrassy.

However, in early October, they announced their surprise separation. The following day when asked how she was feeling, Evert smiled, laughed and said “I’m fine”.

A dozen celebrities graced Evert’s annual tournament and gala, including Leaving Las Vegas actress Elisabeth Shue and tennis legend Martina Navratilova.

The smash hit movie of Michael Jackson’s last weeks was initially planned for limited release over two weeks.

But distributor Sony’s chairman Jeff Blake says the movie was being rolled out in similar fashion to concert films Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert Tour and Jonas Bros: The 3D Concert Experience, EW reports.

He said: “It was a process where suddenly we had a real movie with an A Cinemascore, great exit polls, good grosses and a normal DVD window. There was really no reason to pull it off the screen after two weeks.”

Not to mention the gross. The movie took in $34.4million in its first five days at the North American box office. Blake added: “We got adults. We got people who don’t normally call themselves Michael Jackson fans. Suddenly this movie was much more than a typical concert film. It was a real movie. Real movies don’t get pulled after two weeks.”

Ryan Seacrest’s alleged stalker has pleaded not guilty to stalking the US TV host.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr faced a judge at a Los Angeles court this morning, following his arrest last week at Seacrest’s workplace in West Hollywood.

The judge granted a protective order for Seacrest that states that Uzomah, 25, must stay away from the American Idol presenter. His bail was also set at $150,000.

Uzomah is alleged to have stalked Seacrest between 15 September and 30 October.

Last Friday, Uzomah was arrested outside the E! building, where Seacrest records his TV and radio shows.

In September, Uzomah pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors after choking Seacrest’s bodyguard outside an Orange County hospital.

If convicted, Uzomah faces up to four years in prison. He is due back in court on 16 November.

Piers Morgan has revealed he was mistaken for a sex tourist while on a trip to Shanghai.

The 44-year-old, who is a judge on America’s Got Talent and the UK version as well, told how he went to sign autographs for two female ‘fans’ and found out that they were offering sex for £17.

He said that they asked him: “You American? You like take us back to your room? Only 200 yuan each. Good price!”

Morgan admitted that he declined the girls’ offer even though they were “going cheap”.

The former newspaper editor is currently on UK TV screens as he is hosting his new series Piers Morgan’s Life Stories where he chats to celebrities about their lives.

Reality TV star Jon Gosselin teamed up with Michael Jackson’s ‘celebrity rabbi’ for a bizarre public apology as he bids to improve his tainted image.

The 32-year-old has made headlines for his partying and womanising since a high-profile split with Jon & Kate Plus 8 co-star and wife Kate Gosselin earlier this year.

But in recent days, he has been showing remorse for his behaviour – and put his PR machine into overdrive with a press conference alongside Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, close friend and confidante of Michael Jackson.

“I think I’m just misunderstood. I’m not a fame seeker. Every day, I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous],” he told the media inside the West Side Jewish Centre in New York.

Wearing a sober black suit, and without his trademark flashy earrings, he spoke about how he became intoxicated by celebrity.

He said: “Half the stuff I’ve done, if I look at my moral compass, I shouldn’t have done. I know that but I did it anyway. It’s like fame cancelled out conviction.”

“I want to apologise to Kate in private,” he added. “I’ll apologise to her for openly having relationships in the public eye.

“That was a huge mistake, because if she would’ve done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off. Not because our relationship is over, it’s almost like a stab in the back.

“And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it.”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has returned to The View alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters.

While on maternity leave, she saw such A-listers as Victoria Beckham and La Toya Jackson stand in for her.

Hasselbeck, whose new baby, Isaiah, is her third child said that “three is perfect”.

She added: “I do like my maternity leave. I call it Maternity Leave Me Alone. I like to have everything shut off. I didn’t want to tap back in. I just wanted everything to take a second seat because it’s difficult when you plug back in to separate from everything again.”

Hasselbeck said she kept up with her co-panellists. “We emailed back and forth and kept loose contact. They checked in on me, which is incredible, and I needed to hear from them. But I liked having that separation for a little bit.”

The cycling champ donned bunny ears as a guest on popular kids cartoon Arthur in a brand new episode on Monday.

In the episode Arthur’s friend, a wilful bulldog named Binky, wants bike lanes installed in Elwood City and he tries to persuade voters to adopt the plan in the town’s forthcoming election.

Unfortunately for Binky he’s not an expert in campaign strategy, so he enlists the help of Armstrong who is in town for a race and who gives him tips about bike safety and how to promote a good cause.

Becki Newton hung up three times on a reality TV star, when she worked as an assistant to the editor-in-chief of a magazine as part of a challenge.

The 31-year-old plays a receptionist on a top magazine in hit US show Ugly Betty, but discovered the job is much harder in real life.

The actress embarrassingly dropped the phone three times when Jillian Michaels – a personal trainer on the US version of the Biggest Loser – called.

Newton took on the role as part of an article she was writing for US fitness magazine, Self.

She said: “My character in Ugly Betty, Amanda, the receptionist, avoids doing work and hangs up on people on purpose.

“When Self invited me to try being the assistant to editor-in-chief Lucy Danziger for the afternoon, I jumped at the chance to prove I’m no Amanda.”

But things didn’t go as planned.

She said: “I hung up three times on Jillian Michaels, the Biggest Loser star and Self contributing editor.”

Newton also confessed that she might have asked the magazine’s creative director to get her a latte, after mistaking her for an intern.

And despite spilling silver nail polish all over her desk, she did get one thing right.

She said: “I did give myself an amazing manicure, and I have a new respect for Abbi, Lucy’s actual assistant, who could kick Amanda’s a** any day.”

Uma Thurman has admitted that she has found it tough being a single mum.

The Kill Bill star has raised her two children largely by herself after she got divorced from former husband, actor Ethan Hawke.

She said: “Being an actress doesn’t mean I’ve not gone through every bit of what it takes to have and raise children. I raised my kids in New York City.

“They’re seven and 11, not infants any more, but I’ve pushed those strollers in the streets.

“Trying to raise kids on your own is not easy. It’s why I haven’t worked as much as I should or could have. It’s why I haven’t made a film in a year. But let’s face it, whoever you are, a girl’s got to make a living.”

Uma, 39, wed Hawke in May 1998.

They have two children together, daughter Maya, 11 and son Levon, seven.

The pair divorced in 2004 amid speculation he had cheated on her.

She is now engaged to financier Arpad Busson.

The Oscar-winning actress added her name to a 15,000-strong petition backing the side of four residents on a Scottish coast who face eviction to make way for Trump’s multi-million pound development.

According to TMZ, his statement said: “Where was Tilda Swinton three years ago when everyone else was petitioning? She’s a little late in the game don’t you think?

“Swinton is a part of a tiny little group of people who are hanging by a thread.

“93% of the public in Scotland are in favour of the project. I have all of my permits and approvals and we’re going to start construction in three weeks.”

My Sister’s Keeper star Cameron Diaz has said she likes to relax by taking lots of vacations.

Cameron, 39, recently appeared in the film adaptation of My Sister’s Keeper as struggling mother Sara and will soon star as Seth Rogen’s love interest Lenore Case in The Green Hornet.

Asked how she relaxes when she isn’t filming, she said: “Vacation. I’m good at it. I love to travel, I love spending time with friends.”

She added to Britain’s Total Film magazine: “I love to surf. I love to snowboard. I’m very fortunate; I have a really amazing life. But, you know, I love what I do, I love making films.”

Megan Fox’s leathers, shorts and a tank top are expected to fetch thousands of dollars at an upcoming auction.

The items, along with 100 props, costumes and set pieces form the Transformers movie series will go on auction near Los Angeles on October 8-9.

Fox’s motorcycle gear, used as a costume in the 2009 sequel Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, with the shorts and tank top combined are expected to sell for an estimated $3,000 to $5,000.

“‘Transformers made her [Fox] a star and I expect her costumes to perform very well at auction,” Joe Maddalena of Profiles in History said. “The 17-foot Bumblebee robot speaks for itself [expected to fetch $60,000 to $80,000]. It’s such an amazing spectacle and a pop culture icon that I expect bidders to go crazy.”

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl has revealed that she doesn’t recognise her own body after taking up exercise.

Heigl, 30, who is in the process of adopting a Korean child with husband Josh Kelley, said she has recently started exercising and is amazed at her newly trim body.

She said: “I never used to, but now I work out fairly regularly. I used to have back pain, but suddenly my body is supporting itself the way it’s supposed to.”

The Ugly Truth star added: “Now I wake up and I go: ‘My God, I can’t believe this is my body!’”

Actress Pamela Anderson’s People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) campaign has been banned from being shown at US airports – for being too sexy.

In the video, the former Baywatch star, 42, poses as a security guard and strips travellers of their fur and leather as part of PETA’s Cruelty Doesn’t Fly campaign.

The commercial was meant to be shown at New York’s three main airports, but was banned for being too racy.

According to reports, a spokesperson for CNN Airport Network wrote to PETA bosses to explain that the advert is particularly sensitive because children make up part of the demographic in airports.
