Madonna’s less than worthy London gig is continuing to haunt her. As previously reported, Madonna started her London show about 40 minutes late which meant that her show ended much later than planned. Unfortunately for the Queen of Pop, the venue, Wembley Stadium, has some strict curfew policies. Venue authorities have hit the icon with a $270,000 fine which comes down to $100,000 for every 15 minutes that she exceeded past the established curfew. Madonna’s late end also made it difficult for many fans to get home from the gig because public transportation stopped before the concert ended. Payback’s a bitch – but then again, it probably didn’t even make a dent in her wallet.

Guys it’s time to get your Jamie Oliver act together — Kylie Minogue says the way to her heart is through her stomach.

The single Aussie star, 40, has said she’s on the hunt for a fella who’s a dab hand in the kitchen. Pop princess Kylie admitted: “I’m good at running around the kitchen posing and looking pretty, but I’m afraid I’m a useless cook. It’s just something I have never done. It’s one thing a man has to be able to do. If he can cook then he’s off to a good start with me.”

Kylie — who split from French actor Olivier MArtinez, 42, last year — also confirmed she’s still a free agent despite snaps of the pair cuddling in Paris this week.

Kylie, who is on a UK tour, said: “I defy any man or woman not to find Olivier attractive. It was good to catch up and we’re still good friends, but there was nothing more in it than that.”

Miley Cyrus flashed the peace sign at the Disney premiere of ‘Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert’ held at the El Capitan Theatre on Thursday in Hollywood. The movie allows fans to see the singer, songwriter and actress perform a sold-out concert tour. The movie also features performances from the 69-city tour which created a sensation across the country. The limited one-week released begins on February 1.

In the meantime, what do you think of the 15-year old’s darker hair? I, for one, find it too sexy for her. I’m not sure if she could handle this. Or maybe those so-called controversial pictures of her have some merit after all.

All five original members of the Spice Girls took to a London stage on Saturday night for the first time since 1998. That marked their official homecoming. There were some concerns regarding Saturday night’s concert due to Emma Bunton’s foot injury. But as they say, the show must go on.

Baby Spice managed to get through the show despite her injured ankle which shows just how much of a pro she is. People reports that a few of the dance routines were altered and Baby got her way through it. A rep said that she wasn’t about to miss performing in her hometown. Big props mama!

Along with touring the world for their reunion tour, the Spice Girls are also filming a documentary about their reforming called ‘Giving You Everything’. A sneak peek of the documentary has made its way on the internet and it features some very raw moments.You can see a very emotional Ginger breaking down in tears. There’s also a blunt Sporty talking about Geri’s departure from the band saying “she could have really fucked things up for us”. Just from that sneak peek, you can tell that the documentary is pretty much a very raw and candid look at all the girls. It goes away from seeing the high-profile celebrities that they are and is quite a tell all.

Uma Thurman and Alicia Keys were caught having a laugh during the press conference on Tuesday for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Concert at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Oslo, Norway. The concert was designed to pay tribute to the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize laureates for their achievements and to promote awareness of environmental issues and global warming.

Other people present ate the press conference include the likes of Kevin Spacey and Annie Lennox. Those are some mighty big names doing some big publicity for a very big cause. Kudos to them, it’s almost like they’re the ones getting the award.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed that the Spice Girls lipsynched their songs at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Thursday and the BBC One special on Friday. But sources close to the ladies are guaranteeing that they will be singing live when they go out on tour which will kick off on December 2.

An insider explains the reason for the girls making a shortcut at the fashion show saying “Last night with all the production issues and different set ups, it would have been a nightmare. Better safe than sorry. Rarely do we trust TV sound (apart from the big awards shows).”

I guess we just have to wait for the tour.

There’s some sad news for Jennifer Lopez and her family. The Daily News is reporting that Jennifer Lopez is mourning the death of her beloved grandmother Julia Rodriguez. As the Latina singer was performing a concert in Los Angeles on Saturday, the family matriarch passed away.

Jennifer’s spokeswoman Leslie Sloane-Zelnick said that Jennifer went home to her family when she heard the news.

Our condolences go out to Jennifer and the rest of her family. True, it’s sad to be losing a family member but the arrival of a new one would surely make the pain ease up and go away.

Nancy Wilson is hardly the retiring type, even though she is trying to spend more time with her grandchildren these days.

Last year, the singer retired from touring, but she continues to record — her last album “Turned to Blue” won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album earlier this year — and perform selected concert dates.

On Friday night, she found herself sharing the Carnegie Hall stage with many old friends — including three of the top vocalists on the current jazz scene, Nnenna Freelon, Dianne Reeves and Kurt Elling, as well as guest musicians such as violinist Regina Carter — for a concert called “Nancy Wilson’s Swinging 70th Birthday Party,” a highlight of this year’s JVC Jazz Festival.

“It’s really fine to let everyone know what 70 can be,” said Wilson, whose birthday actually was Feb. 20, at the start of a program celebrating milestones in her 55-year career. “It doesn’t get much better than this.”

After Freelon spiritedly swung her way through “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” the younger singer took the opportunity to thank Wilson for mentoring her years ago, calling her “an angel in my life.”

Turning to the svelte, silver-haired Wilson, she quipped, “If this is what 70 is all about, I can’t wait.”

Elling paid tribute to the 1962 “Nancy Wilson/Cannonball Adderley” album, considered among the best jazz vocal recordings of all time, by performing the soulful “Save Your Love for Me.”

The organizers of the Glastonbury Festival and British band Madness have high hopes. They plan to break the world record for the number of people kissing at the same time in the same place. On June 24 the band will stop their show at 1:30 AM and singer Suggs will give the go ahead for everybody to start kissing. Organizers think that around 30 thousand people will then start kissing the person next to them. As you can imagine, we are not talking about French kissing here although couples are sure to do their best with love. The whole idea is to smooch the individual next to you. As crazy as it might seem it can become a reality. It is a well known fact that during concerts masses of people tend to connect and they might even go for this movement. What’s in a smooch? Easy to do and no consequences! Let’s hope it works!

Simon Cowell’s brainchild group is considering a reunion concert gig that would pay them $2 million smackaroos each. That’s not chump change my friends. The show would be sometime during Christmas. Four out of the five girls are into doing the show, but Mel C isn’t so sure. Evidently she’s too good for 2 million. Maybe we can dangle some man candy in front of her and then she will be more interested.

I am not so sure we care enough about these fake pop stars to want to see them in concert. I couldn’t really stand them when they were popular. You know? I’ll tell ya what I want. I want some damn silence is what I want. Reports are that the group are in talks about accepting the project. We will see if something comes of it, or if they are all talk.

It’s been five years since Celine Dion started her Las Vegas show at Cesar’s Palace, but all that is coming to an end. Slated to replace her is the incomparable Better Midler. Her two year contract with the venue will be for 200 performances and she opens on Feb 15th. She didn’t say much about what the show is about, only that “this is a chance to have lots of gorgeous girls in skimpy costumes. I love feathers and rhinestones and high heels. If it glitters, I’ve got to have it.”

I cannot be more excited about this. Celine Dion is a big yawn in my book, but Bette just screams Las Vegas glitz to me. She will be 62 when the show opens, and I hope I get the chance to go and see her. She has the talent and the pizzazz to pull of a great show, and the voice to fill such a massive concert hall.

The rapper was denied entry to this country too. Thus he wouldn’t be able to come to MTV Australian Music Awards this weekend as planned.

After he was forced to cancel his tour in Britain for the same reason earlier this month he met a similar response from the Aussies too after he failed a character test.

According to Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews, Snoop failed the required character test and as such has been issued with a notice of intention to cancel his visa, which basically means he can’t come in.

The problems of Snoop with the authorities are getting bigger and bigger. It looks that sooner he won’t be able to enter a lot of countries as they are feared of his notoriety of being dangerous for their safety.

“The reality is in relation to this man, that he was given a warning the last time, he has a whole string of convictions”, said Andrews. ”He doesn’t seem the sort of bloke we want in this country.”

Maybe soon Snoop will be forced to make concert in the US and nowhere else.
