You may know her as a country superstar or you may simply know her from her Dancing with the Stars run, but either way, Sara Evans has found love. You may remember that she went through a nasty public divorce last year.

Now, according to her rep, she plans to marry Jay Barker, formerly a quarterback for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide who led them to the national championship in 1992. Lori Genes say, “The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials.”

This will be the second marriage for both. Sara enters with three children with ex husband Craig Schelske and Jay comes with four children from his previous marriage.

Jessica Simpson will sing for US troops.

The ‘With You’ singer will fly to Kuwait to entertain soldiers who are currently on duty in the Middle Eastern country. She said: “I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio. It’s truly an honour to perform for the troops. I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It’s every girl’s dream!”

Her trip is being sponsored by social networking site, MySpace, under the name Operation MySpace. Other acts set to perform at the concert on March 10 include the Pussycat Dolls and rock bands Disturbed and Filter.

Jessica is the latest in a long line of stars to perform for the armed services. She follows in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe, Robin Williams, Mariah Carey and Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins.

In 2001, ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Andy Garcia visited US troops at a military base in Turkey. While they were there they signed autographs, chatted and posed for pictures with the soldiers in a bid to boost their morale.

Well I know that every guy I spoke to regarding TV plans for Christmas day had scheduled a viewing of the Dr Who special. Most of them had never shown an interest in the series before. I was puzzled, until I realised that this was the episode Kylie Minogue was to make an appearance in.

It seems that the majority of the male population thought the same too. Kylie’s guest appearance on the show boosted ratings higher than they have ever been since its revival.

A massive 12.2 million people tuned in to watch the Dr Who special; which is half the available audience. An upgrade on last year where the Christmas special managed to lure in 37% of the audience.

Whether her acting was any good I couldn’t tell you. Personally I was too busy doing what you do best at Christmas – eating lots of chocolate. Good or not it seemed to do the job though.

She’s had no problem expressing her affection and stating her desire to become Mrs. MacArthur. Now, she’s gonna get her wish.

Ali Landry of Heroes fame and her longtime boyfriend Hayes MacArthur were engaged over the weekend. No dates have been set for a wedding.

Uma Thurman and Alicia Keys were caught having a laugh during the press conference on Tuesday for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Concert at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Oslo, Norway. The concert was designed to pay tribute to the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize laureates for their achievements and to promote awareness of environmental issues and global warming.

Other people present ate the press conference include the likes of Kevin Spacey and Annie Lennox. Those are some mighty big names doing some big publicity for a very big cause. Kudos to them, it’s almost like they’re the ones getting the award.

She might have been sacked from the X-Factor but we still love her; especially now the gorgeous Kate Thornton is expecting her first child. Hurrah!Engaged to DJ Darren Emerson, Kate was spotted having a scan last week. Could this potentially put the big day on hold?

A source said: “Kate was beaming from ear to ear. But funnily enough, when an X Factor trailer came on the TV in the hospital waiting room, she turned her head away.”

While we are all enamored with Turk and Carla on Scrubs, in real life, Donald Faison dates CaCee Cobb, the best friend of none other than Jessica Simpson.  So, what’s his take on Jess’s obsession with Tony Romo?

Donald actually likes the two of them together.  Will they be hooking up for cozy couples only dinners together now?  Maybe not.  Donald says, “CaCee and I prefer to keep our relationship away from the glitz and cameras.  But he is a great guy.”

They did spend some time together when the two couples met to help CaCee celebrate her thirtieth birthday at Teddy’s nightclub.  Donald continued about Tony, “I think he’s really, really, really smart.  He’s a really genuine guy.”

We’ve seen Angelina Jolie head into third world countries in hopes of helping them recoup losses. Now we see the other half of Hollywood’s most beautiful couple heading out at home.

Brad Pitt spent Monday in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans for his “Make It Right Project”. The project will push for the building of 150 environmentally homes that will be affordable to residents who were uprooted after Hurricane Katrina. This area is one of the poorest regions in the city and was the site of some of the worst flooding caused by Katrina in 2005.

Pitt is seeking pledges to help with the work. He has agreed to match up to $5 billion in contributions with billionaire Steve Bing agreeing to do the same.

The area surrounding Pitt and the onlookers was lined wit hot pink tents marking where the homes would stand. Brad said they chose pink because “it screams the loudest. It says people are coming back.”

Kudos to you, Brad, for using your celebrity status to push for something good!

Emma Bunton is a fake! She’s not the real Baby Spice, Suri Cruise is.Apparently, Tom and Katie’s baby is a big fan of the Spice Girls. The Hollywood tot was taken to visit the rehearsals of the girl group by her parents. A sneak peek as to what went on during the visit was posted on the Spice Girls’ official website.

Tom and Katie stopped by to wish the girls luck for the forthcoming tour when they were treated to an exclusive performance. Suri danced along to the music. It looks like Suri’s getting ready to spice up our life.

After Marie Osmond’s dollface was given the boot, the competition on Dancing with the Stars came down to race car driver Helio Castroneves and his partner Julianne Hough and Spice Girl Melanie Brown and her partnerMaksim Chmerkovskiy.

At the start of the final showdown, Castroneves was in second place, a mere one point behind Scary Spice. However, his quickstep on Tuesday night earned him a perfect score of 30.

After combining the scores from the judges with votes from viewers, it was determined that Castroneves had earned the mirroball trophy as the winner of this fifth season of DWTS.

His response? “It will look so good between my two Indy 500 trophies.”

It was a first place finish for him once again.

It seems she just can’t learn her lesson. In past months Britney Spears has been involved in countless driving incidents including running a red light, driving over a policeman’s foot; and recently she was banned from having her kids in the car with her when she was driving. But all this obviously isn’t enough to turn the pop star into the model driver.

In a move sure to prevent the ruling about her kids being overturned, Miss Spears was caught on camera by Hollywood TV sending a text on her mobile phone whilst driving. Now you would think that as a big celeb; used to being followed by the press, Britney would think twice about misbehaving and getting away with it. Oh dear. Kylie Minogue has been publicly disgraced, according to a report today. Famous waxwork modellers, Madame Tussauds recently unveiled a sculpture of the singer in a racy position; causing our mini Aussie to feel “mortified and humiliated”.

The waxwork depicted Kylie on all fours, with her famous booty in the air. Claiming that she was not consulted about the model; the pop artist insists she did not approve of it.

But Kylie; you aren’t humiliated when you wear next to nothing on stage, nor when you strike these poses that give the idea that a position such as this would depict you correctly. So why are you surprised?

The admission comes after the unveiling of a brand new statue in her native Australia. This depicts her in nothing but a burlesque body stocking and red high heels. But she hasn’t complained about this one! Hmmm…

In retaliation to the response from the artist, the waxwork was replaced by a more modest model earlier this year; making Kylie to be the only person other than the QUEEN to have four waxwork models sculpted. She is cuter than the queen so we’ll let her have that one huh?

In the last few weeks, Marie Osmond passed out on live television during Dancing with the Stars and mourned the death of her father. Now she is facing her most difficult crisis yet. The singer confirmed Wednesday that her 16-year-old son, Michael, entered rehab last week for undisclosed treatment. Until you folks live her life and know the intimate details of her homelife, it’s really unfair to make such judgmental statements. Whether you like her dancing or not is irrelevant. Whether you like MARIE or not is irrelevant. For heaven’s sake, have a little compassion for a mother and a young man who is troubled! The reasons aren’t for any of us to say and are no one else’s business but Marie, Brian, and their son. Those who judge may find themselves in similar–or worse–circumstances at some point down the line.

It’s funny I think “exhaustion” is an affliction that only Hollywood people get, because I don’t know any normal people who have ever been hospitalized for exhaustion. Let’s also keep in mind that these people are extremely pampered and get paid huge sums of money to do little to nothing. They all eat very well and they even do not shoot under the burning sun, they have the best luxuries that even some other millionaires would never feel like using, they get the best hotels, best dresses and they are never made to work hard to the extent of exhaustion. They work for months but it shifts, like if they are working in the wee hours of the morning then they will not be asked to shoot in the night again. Have to seen or rather read the diva request that Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna make when they are to perform at a venue, the reps and staff reach that hotel before hand and hand them a list of requirements to tea time, wake up time, sea food and the list goes on and on. So exhaustion is really not the case and drugs overdose is the only thing that’s made her to go to the hospital.

Rosie O’Donnell is planning to broadcast a new show on her website, just days after scrapping her TV comeback. The star had started negotiations to front a new talk show on cable network MSNBC that would compete directly with CNN icon Larry King’s nightly broadcast. But O’Donnell revealed the deal is off earlier this week. She is just a big mouthed bully. She has nothing nice to say about anyone anymore. She has become so mean, who in their right mind wants to listen to her? She has shown she really isn’t too bright; her arguments really make no sense. I think that picture of her poor kid dressed up with a gun says it all. She can protest anything she wants, but then turn around and say, oh well its ok for my kid to play with it for now. She just sucks.

The tour that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are currently on is almost over. And I’m sure that the singing Latino couple is thanking the heavens for it if they still want to keep Jennifer’s ‘non-pregnancy’ under wraps.

The singer/actress is already looking like she’s in the latter part of her second trimester of pregnancy and is even rumored to be carrying twins. She can’t hide that massive bump any longer.

It would be good for the tour to finally wrap up. There are no more worries of exhaustion, falling over the stage and hiding her belly. She can just focus on being a mom.

Actress Kim Cattrall is begging her 18-year-old nephew not to sign up for service in Iraq - because her role in British wartime drama My Boy Jack has made her more aware of dangers in the battlefield. I understand Cattrall not wanting her nephew to enlist and go Iraq. There are American’s that favor or oppose the war in Iraq. A friend enlisted in the USMC with a desire to fight in battle knowing he could lose his life, but his plans got changed. I support the war and I’m proud that Cattrall’s nephew has that desire to go to the battlefield and fight for our country, but only Christ knows if this is meant for him. Cattrall’s nephew has to find out if the military will accept him due to his bad vision. First of all, this kid must be out of his mind. Fighting for America, Freedom, or the betterment of mankind are all worthy goals but Iraq doesn’t fit any of those.

Being pregnant is not something that would stop any expecting mommy from having fun on Halloween. Christina Aguilera is prime example of that when she came out to party as a Spider Queen with her husband dressing up as Count Dracula.

Ask them to farm some land and cultivate farm land, sell the produce and earn a living. I think these celebs have a job just as many of us do. Part of their job is to do interviews, TV shots, mag covers etc…It is not their job to be attacked while with their children or family. Or to have people dig in their garbage, chase them down the street, follow them into grocery stores, malls etc… Being a celeb does not give any one rights over themselves..

Former The West Wing star Kristin Chenoweth is smiling through the pain after cracking ribs and damaging her chest wall in a parking lot fall. The actress/singer tumbled down 12 concrete stairs four weeks ago on her way to a first date with a new guy, and ended up spending the night in a hospital. She must have got stuck in the parking and must be trying to find the loo while also trying to find her new date. She got puzzled what to find first, should she go and let her new date that she urgently needs to find the loo and could he wait till she finds one, or should she freshen up at the loo and meet him with a confident smile. All this got too much for her to do and manage and the poor thing just missed the steps and that surely made her day, lol.

Comedienne Whoopi Goldberg has announced she is retiring from acting to concentrate on her broadcasting career. Let’s just face it; Whoopi Goldberg has attributes that are hard to place in today’s and yesterday’s movies. She’s no Beyonce Knowles, or Angela Bassett. She’s, love her or leave her “Whoopi”. I believe that since she has notified the world that she’s still interested and available, someone will find a place for her again. After all she’s Mrs. Celie, and Mrs. Celie, always gets what she wants in the end. She could become a producer or director did she not learn or take away anything of value after appearing in forty movies. Or just grab the money and run may have been her outlook. I think she has understood the fact that there is no room for actors of high caliber like her, Hollywood likes slick chicks who look 18 something and bare their skin with ease and are attractive to the audience attributes that Whoopi does not posses.

A dream almost cost Sean Penn his new movie when the real-life subject of Into The Wild visited his mother in her sleep to tell her not to let the Oscar winner tell his story. The movie has been in all the papers in Fairbanks. We are all looking forward to watching the movie and it won’t be released here in Alaska. WHY. There is not a lot to do in the winter time. We need entertainment. I work at a military base as a civilian. I have heard so many times when is this movie coming to Alaska. I think Sean could have made a lot of money releasing this film here. Either way, I have heard so many people in Alaska that want to see this movie. Fairbanks only has one theater, and we are Isolated. Please release the movie or tell us why Alaska does not get to see this so interesting and well written movie.

The star has finalized a deal with California wine company, Ernest and Julio Gallo, which will make 15,000 cases of wine under the ‘Stewart’ brand. Just look at her and all the other celebrities, they will make full utilization of their fame and will not leave an inch to exploit people under their famous names. Courtney Love is too thinking to have a perfume fragrance under her name and doesn’t bother who much she stinks herself but has the idea to give fragrance to others. Wait until a few more years and we will have a time when there would be a few more idiot celebs who would have gone insane and announce that there are dogs and cats under their brand name at a store near you. She has so much money and has already such varied interest in various fields that I think she is trying to become some sort of mogul in her own right.

Ryan Seacrest was the host of the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards that aired live last night and let’s just say he didn’t get the best of reviews. I didn’t think he was that bad! In fact, I thought he’d get GOOD review because we didn’t even see all that much of him. A lot of comedians had a lot of time on the mic. Even so, I thought it fine! Fact is, the Emmys are themselves just never all that interesting. People want to watch who like winning stuff, not the most ‘worthy’, like that cowboy/western crap or Tony Bennett or whatever…that’s why it’s kind of boring IMHO.. I thought Ryan did a perfectly good job hosting the Emmys…He’s not a comedian, he isn’t an entertainer, he’s a host!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have denied reports their adopted daughter Zahara is in need of hip surgery, insisting the news is “not true.” If any of your children are hurt or need things we would all give it to them! Even we working collar people care for our children as much anyone rich person would in this world. I’d give my life for my kids! There is a headline, but I bet it won’t make it past the rich famous parents getting their child a hip surgery. Why do the media create such a hoophoola (noise) over some celebrity child needing medical attention? Ask the chap and the editor of the paper or magazine that published this article, if ever their child would have a medical emergency and people in the neighborhood starting gossiping about how fragile your kids looks and say that she might not be able to recover from this disease etc, then what would you guys feel like. Have some apathy for the sufferers and let their parent do what’s best for them.

Actress Demi Moore has blasted Hollywood for its ageist culture, insisting the best roles are offered to stars under the age of 40. Demi! You are over the hill! Why did you spend $440,000 on cosmetic surgery? It’s not how old you are. And not how old you look. And you look like a piece of leather, real stiff. Demi, you never were a really good actor, maybe that’s why you don’t have any good parts coming your way. What does she want now after being given so many opportunities, she acted and she’s proved at least to others that she can’t act. She needs to sit and watch some of her movies from a critics angle and then judge her performances for herself and then if she’s even half true to herself she’ll never come out and say that there are no roles for her or no ones giving her the chance to act in the movies. There are a lot many actresses well beyond 40 years of age and yet they have performed so well for the role that they are given which goes on to fetch them Oscar nominations, bet you can’t do that.
