George Clooney has already graced the foyer of the White House.

Records released show Clooney and Oprah Winfrey were among the first visitors to President Barack Obama’s White House, meeting with the president, his wife, Michelle or top aides.

In Clooney’s case, the star – who is a United Nations messenger of peace – met with Obama and Vice President Joe Biden on February 23.

The group discussed the Sudanese crisis in Darfur, with Clooney requesting that a full-time envoy be despatched to the region. Oprah, meanwhile, interviewed the first lady on February 17.

The White House posted a list of some 480 records in response to questions about whether specific people visited the president’s home.

Clooney’s father, Nick, is a former politician and journalist.

The movie hunk has admitted he is embarrassed by many of his early films – and he probably learned a few valuable lessons from this one.

Hollywood star George Clooney has opened up about aging as after appearing on the red carpet at a movie premiere.

The grey-haired actor revealed: “I’m old. It’s an interesting thing to watch yourself grow older on screen.

“I was watching Up In The Air and I thought: ‘Jesus, who’s the old grey-haired guy?’ And it was me. I never wear make-up for movies and now it’s starting to show.”

Clooney, in London to promote three new movies, said: “It’s funny because most male actors work with actresses who are considerably younger.

“But earlier in my career I was working with a lot of actresses who were my age or older so people always thought I was older anyway and now I’m going through this thing with people thinking I’m about 60.

“But I’m kind of comfortable with getting older because it’s better than the other option, which is being dead. So I’ll take getting older!”

Clooney stars in three films screening at the London Film Festival – Up in the Air, The Fantastic Mr Fox and The Men Who Stare At Goats.

Veteran US actor Harrison Ford received a lifetime film tribute at the highly regarded 35th Deauville American Film Festival.

Harrison, 67, choked back tears as he was honoured at the event in Normandy, France. He was accompanied by his fiancee, the enigmatic Calista Flockhart and star of Brothers & Sisters.

The pair made a sweetly romantic couple as they stared into each other’s eyes and walked hand in hand, Flockhart smartly attired as usual.

Harrison regularly attends Deauville and watched a film tribute to his life career at the fest. The event had some heavy star wattage, with Meryl Streep and Robin Wright Penn in attendance. Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and George Clooney have attended in the past.

The festival, to be held in its namesake city, runs from September 10 to 19 and will showcase a staggering 271 feature films and 64 shorts from 64 countries.

George Clooney has been forced to deny reports he had died.

The Ocean’s Thirteen hunk, 48, became the latest star to fall victim to Internet pranksters who rushed online to spread rumours of his death.

Clooney’s publicist Stan Rosenfield told celebrity website TMZ.com that he was “bombarded” with calls from media outlets after claims of his passing began to surface.

He told the site that “some of Clooney’s friends… were genuinely shaken by [the] reports.”

A surge of fake deaths have emerged in the last week, following the genuine deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.

Jeff Goldblum was a victim of tricksters after an online stunt insisted he had fallen to his death while filming in New Zealand.

Britney Spears’ representatives also had to confirm the singer was alive after a hacker broke into her Twitter account and sent a message to her two million followers claiming she had died. It was also wrongly rumoured that Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder had passed away.

Not that George Clooney is wanting because a lot of ladies in and out of Hollywood are hankering for George Clooney’s attention.  Miley Cyrus however said she would never enter into a relationship with a fellow thespian because actors are too good at lying. Miley Cyrus however dated Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers before Justin Gaston entered the picture.

The star’s sweat, which will supposedly be extracted from his used gym towels, might be used for the fabrication of tofu, or as the authors of this idea, none other that PETA, want to call it: CloFu. PETA wrote to George Clooney on the subject: “The technology actually exists to take your perspiration and make it into George Clooney-flavored tofu (CloFu). Of course, your fans would swoon at the idea of eating CloFu but what interests us most is that we would attract many people who don’t try tofu because they worry that it would be bland or that they wouldn’t know how to cook it.” I think PETA is on to the fact that our nutritional resources are becoming quite limited and they’re trying to do something about it as to protect our furry little animal friends. Still, I do hope that George Clooney does not accept for a twist of this manner does not bode well for mankind.

George Clooney’s peace advocacy might just get him an appointment with United States President Barack Obama. George Clooney adn Barack Obama are reportedly scheduled to meet next week to discuss a request for the President to appoint a full-time diplomat who will negotiate for a peace treaty in the Darfur region. George Clooney said as much to NBC reporter Anne Curry who interviewed him while he was visiting refugee camps in Chad, Africa.

George Clooney, who is a United Nations Messenger of Peace, said violence-stricke Darfusians in refugee camps near the Sudanese border are clamoring for justice. George Clooney said whole world is awaiting the International Criminal Court’s decision on the possible arrest of Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir for alleged war crimes committed in the Western Sudanese region. The Sudanese government based in Khartoum does not however recognize the International tribunal based in Netherlands and refuses to cooperate with it. While there are fears that violence would ensure when the ICC attempts to arrest Al-Bashir, most refugees however believe the international community can make a difference.

ER is part of George Clooney’s rise to fame 15 years ago and his fans are excited to see him back in the NBC television show. Executive producer John Wells said they have talked about Clooney’s possible comeback in the show but the thing is that he is very busy. Wells is however not losing hope because he knows that Clooney loves practical jokes and who knows he might probably get a kick one day and do it. That would be the day! There are three more ER episodes which have been picked up by NBC and the two-hour season finale will be seen on April 2 at 9 p.m. It is not however sure though if the last episode will feature Clooney or not but who knows?

After ER, Well’s new drama “Southland” will premiere on April 9 at 10 p.m. which is the same slot held by ER for the past 15 years. Southland, which stars Michael Cudlitz and Ben McKenzie, used to have the title LAPD and then Police. If you’re awaiting Clooney’s return to ER then watch out for the show’s last episodes. You never know what will run into his handsome mind.

George Clooney held a fund raising party in London this week for the victims of Darfur and despite the financial crisis hit the UK severely he managed to raise a cool $14.57 million for the cause.

Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford & Scarlett Johansson to name a few were among guests who paid up to $14,575 to attend the party at Jenkins plush home in Mayfair, London.

Attaboy George, that is by far the most humane fundraiser to date. George is like fine wine, it’s better with age. To use your name to do anything good for those who are less privileged or this case for people who have lost their homes makes George a very nice man.

I do not personally like Kid Rock but he was there that evening to provide the guests with entertainment and in this case the guest might not have got their money’s worth but then its not about their money on occasions like this one but just thanks to all who helped in the cause.

Just like Drew Barrymore and so many other influential celebrities who have been speaking out out against Proposition 8, more and more celebs are showing their concern at the passing of the ban on gay marriage.
The latest to join the No On 8 campaign is super A-lister George Clooney.
In a new interview, Clooney says, “At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won’t be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black.”
Well said! But who knows how long that will take.

Other notable bachelors in the top ten were Ryan Seacrest, Vince Vaughn, Jamie Fox, Owen Wilson, Orlando Bloom, Bruce Willis and John Mayer.

But our hot star has beaten them all to clinch the title.

Do the girls still think that Clooney will change his mind at least once.

We knew he was a playboy, but hold on! Apparently it doesn’t take George Clooney much time to move from one girl to the next.

Sarah Larson may be buh-bye, but it seems George already has a new girl line up. But she may not really be as new as we might think. Some sources say George was seeing her as long as six months before he even broke things off with Sarah.
