A federal appeals court has finally thrown out a $550,000 fine against CBS for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson’s famous wardrobe malfunction. On Monday, a three-judge panel in Philadelphia ruled that the Federal Communications Commission acted arbitrarily and capriciously in issuing the fine for the image of nudity. People freaked out for nothing. She was covered with a tassel. There are much worse things on TV right now than Janet’s boob peek a couple of years back. Heck, I didn’t even know that this fine was still pending until Monday. I doubt many people still care about it.
