Jessica Simpson is turning into one big pile of wannabe. The 28-year old aspiring country singer recently revealed that her song ‘You’re My Sunday’ was written about her boyfriend Tony Romo. Was it written by Jessica for Tony or written for Jessica and just used Tony as inspiration? Jessica told Extra “He is a place of rest in my life and that’s what the song is about… It’s his favorite song on the record.” Wow! Tony survived having to listen to her album! I won’t be surprised if he’s going to have any focus problems during his games after finding out that he listened to her songs.

Attending sister Ashlee’s wedding with her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo must have been heartbreaking for Jessica Simpson but this piece of news must be even more so. Tony was supposedly about to ask her to marry him! An inside source says that the QB was organizing an “intimate dinner for friends and family” which was set to take place in a few weeks to announce the engagement. Another source adds “Jessica has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married, and with all the Ashlee wedding talk and Jess’ dad’s involvement, Tony was obviously feeling it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he just couldn’t go through with the proposal and that’s what’s caused the break.”

Jessica Simpson will sing for US troops.

The ‘With You’ singer will fly to Kuwait to entertain soldiers who are currently on duty in the Middle Eastern country. She said: “I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio. It’s truly an honour to perform for the troops. I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It’s every girl’s dream!”

Her trip is being sponsored by social networking site, MySpace, under the name Operation MySpace. Other acts set to perform at the concert on March 10 include the Pussycat Dolls and rock bands Disturbed and Filter.

Jessica is the latest in a long line of stars to perform for the armed services. She follows in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe, Robin Williams, Mariah Carey and Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins.

In 2001, ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Andy Garcia visited US troops at a military base in Turkey. While they were there they signed autographs, chatted and posed for pictures with the soldiers in a bid to boost their morale.

Jessica Simpson is being blamed for her boyfriend Tony Romo’s less than impressive last few games with the Dallas Cowboys and someone thinks that it’s just not fair. Surprisingly enough, it’s Jessica’s ex John Mayer who comes to her defense. The sensitive yet cocky rocker posted a blog on his website defending Jess entitled “Don’t Ex with Texas”.

He goes to say that “All witty barbs, blogs, and fashion policing aside, that girl loves Texas more than you know. It’s one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don’t try and take that away from her. (You probably wouldn’t be able to, but it’s less work for all involved.)”
