The stars on Dancing will be short one member. Derek Hough, partner of Shannon Elizabeth, was taken from the set in an ambulance with an apparent neck injury. The injury was sustained during rehearsals.
An ABC spokesperson said that he was taken to an L.A. hospital to be examined. He went on, “The injury does not appear to be serious.”

The singer also made a stop into Gucci for some extra shopping as paparazzi continued to get shots of her and her amazing cleavage – at least when they have a clear shot of it. There’s no doubt that it wasn’t just her cleavage which made jaws drop. I’m sure her credit card bill will too.
After three days without sleep and nights spent talking to trees, troubled star Britney Spears is in official meltdown. Her psychiatrist paid her a midnight call and is thought to be trying to have her sectioned under the Mental Health act once again for her own safety.
Mum Lynne and manager, Sam Lufti, are currently in the house with Britney, who is said to inert, unresponsive and confused.
This new breakdown comes after Britney went on a 5am shopping trip to buy Red Bull and constipation pills before continuing her habit of driving aimlessly around Los Angeles all night in her new car.
At one point she stopped inexplicably in the middle of a canyon road, clambered from the Mercedes and confessed to the waiting photographers she was dizzy, afraid and wanted to go home. She then padded into the forest making strange faces and muttering to the trees in her new mock British accent.
The psychiatrist was told about the driving and decided she must be hospitalised on another “5150 hold” - which her manager agrees with.
Poor Britney. Incidentally, boyfriend Adnan is nowhere to be seen.
Britney Spears has finally attended a deposition when she was supposed to. The braless singer and her ‘manager’ Sam Lufti arrived at the offices of Kevin Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan in Los Angeles at 10.45am on Mon and left around 1pm.
Britney, who reportedly spoke in a British accent, gave evidence in the couple’s prolonged child custody battle, answering questions about parenting, her drug and alcohol abuse and her ability to provide adequate care to her two young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Britney’s attendance at the office follows a series of no-shows at previous appointments and court hearings. Is it a case of better late than never? And what is with the British accent?

Brad Pitt spent Monday in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans for his “Make It Right Project”. The project will push for the building of 150 environmentally homes that will be affordable to residents who were uprooted after Hurricane Katrina. This area is one of the poorest regions in the city and was the site of some of the worst flooding caused by Katrina in 2005.
Pitt is seeking pledges to help with the work. He has agreed to match up to $5 billion in contributions with billionaire Steve Bing agreeing to do the same.
The area surrounding Pitt and the onlookers was lined wit hot pink tents marking where the homes would stand. Brad said they chose pink because “it screams the loudest. It says people are coming back.”

Britney Spears has been banned from driving with her young sons in the same car after her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s attorney called an emergency court hearing to question her road skills. Kevin’s lawyer is not a “gangster lawyer”. The whole issue is the safety of the kids. Britney doesn’t seem to care about any of it. she blatantly disregards what she is being asked to do in order to even get back 50/50 custody.She is really messed up and I am beginning to believe the theory that she really does not want the kids. Hell…she just bought a new car that seats 2!I really wish the court would mandate her getting treated at a mental health facility outside of California. Maybe it will also mean that she’ll even stay home now those two days and one overnight she has the kids. Knowing her she’ll just leave them home with a nanny and the monitor and keep going out for her starbuck, gas station, taco bell, target, run etc. But I hope not.

The singer who’s rumored to be around six months pregnant was seen as she was about to leave a doctor’s office.
It’s being passed around that she and her husband Jordan are expecting a boy for their first child. If having guests from her baby shower showing up bringing blue and boy-themed gifts were any clue, it’s not just a rumor. She’s also reportedly planning to have two more baby showers. Why, not enough gifts from the first one?
It’s funny I think “exhaustion” is an affliction that only Hollywood people get, because I don’t know any normal people who have ever been hospitalized for exhaustion. Let’s also keep in mind that these people are extremely pampered and get paid huge sums of money to do little to nothing. They all eat very well and they even do not shoot under the burning sun, they have the best luxuries that even some other millionaires would never feel like using, they get the best hotels, best dresses and they are never made to work hard to the extent of exhaustion. They work for months but it shifts, like if they are working in the wee hours of the morning then they will not be asked to shoot in the night again. Have to seen or rather read the diva request that Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna make when they are to perform at a venue, the reps and staff reach that hotel before hand and hand them a list of requirements to tea time, wake up time, sea food and the list goes on and on. So exhaustion is really not the case and drugs overdose is the only thing that’s made her to go to the hospital.
It looks like Sporty Spice is making herself right at home in Los Angeles. The Spice Girl was spotted on Sunday when she went shopping for healthy food at ‘Wild Oats’ organic supermarket. I guess Mel C is staying true to her moniker. She has to be in tip top shape for the upcoming Spice Girls reunion tour of course.
The tour will kick off in Vancouver on December and is going to last until at least February.
Emma and Geri, Baby and Ginger Spice respectively, are the only two Spices left that aren’t in LA yet. Expect them to be in sometime soon.
There’s some sad news for Jennifer Lopez and her family. The Daily News is reporting that Jennifer Lopez is mourning the death of her beloved grandmother Julia Rodriguez. As the Latina singer was performing a concert in Los Angeles on Saturday, the family matriarch passed away.
Jennifer’s spokeswoman Leslie Sloane-Zelnick said that Jennifer went home to her family when she heard the news.
Our condolences go out to Jennifer and the rest of her family. True, it’s sad to be losing a family member but the arrival of a new one would surely make the pain ease up and go away.

Movie could show people getting way with murder and one could also get way with murder in real life but if the law catches the culprit then one could be headed for a life term. Phil Spector was probably standing within two feet of actress Lana Clarkson when she was shot, the record producer’s murder trial has heard. Evidence given by forensic expert Lynne Herold to a Los Angeles court suggests blood splatter on Mr. Spector’s white jacket proves he could have shot her. She also said the gun may have been wiped before police found it.
Mr Spector, 67, denies murdering Ms Clarkson, who was found dead at his Los Angeles home in February 2003. The defense claims Ms Clarkson, best known for her role in the film Barbarian Queen, shot herself. Mr. Spector you took the chance and shot her now its time to face the music from the courts and bet you there’s nothing that’s gonna save you from being shot all the way to the jail now.
When Tracy Morgan hosts Spike TV’s “Guys Choice” awards on June 13, he’ll be wearing an alcohol monitoring device around his ankle.
There’s no better symbol to Morgan’s current situation. The comedian and “30 Rock” co-star has recently experienced several alcohol-related troubles, but said in an interview with The Associated Press that he’s trying to “keep moving forward”.
In February, Morgan, 38, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drunken driving charges in New York. He previously pleaded no contest to a DUI charge in Los Angeles. As part of his court-ordered treatment, Morgan was recently fitted with the monitoring device, which he’ll wear for two months.
A few weeks ago, a Miami disc jockey filed a misdemeanor battery complaint against Morgan, alleging he groped her, claiming he smelled of alcohol at the time. Morgan declined to comment on that charge because, he said, “It’s still being worked out and resolved”.
On his drunk driving, he said: “It happened. Unfortunately, it happened. I’m not perfect. I’m like anyone else. Driving under the influence isn’t cool. I have kids and I don’t want anyone to get the wrong message about that. It’s something I’ve resolved in my life. Things got a little bumpy and it was taken care of. And I feel great about it and feel good in my sobriety.”
Morgan, who is married with three children, said he deals with his alcohol problems “one day at a time”.
“I don’t know about tomorrow, but I know that today I don’t want a drink”, he said.
In the meantime, Morgan is shooting “First Sunday”, which stars Ice Cube. The “Guys Choice” awards will be his first gig as an awards host, and he expects to follow it by hosting VH1’s “Hip Hop Honors” later this year.
Morgan, a former cast member of “Saturday Night Live” will also return to “30 Rock” for its second season this fall. NBC renewed the sitcom for the 2007-2008 season in April.
When Jason Wahler checks into a hotel, the security staff go on alert. Especially after he punched a security guard at the Seattle Marriot on April 4th. He has since been charged with assault and underage drinking. Drinking is evidently a problem for Jason, since he has recently checked himself into rehab to try and kick the habit. The Laguna Beach perennial bad boy seems to be living out his role at bit, don’t you think?
This isn’t the first time that he’s gotten into trouble. Just a month before his hotel slug fest he was arrested after punching a tow-truck driver and a Los Angeles Department of Transportation worker whose vehicles were blocking his way on Wilshire Boulevard. Talk about road rage! I say this kid is beyond help. He should go to jail and stay there.
