Miranda Otto, 41, who once infamously said she would never want the level of fame Nicole Kidman enjoys, says she has now adapted to being a celebrity.

She said: “I’ve made my peace with being in the spotlight, definitely. Around the time of The Lord Of The Rings, it was a shock to me just how big it is to be on that kind of media juggernaut.

“It was a big thing and the scrutiny was shocking. I think that’s what I meant with the Nicole comment, the incredible scrutiny she’s under.”

She added: “There’s such big pressure on people who are incredibly famous, on those who have people sitting outside their front door and taking photos every time they move. That way of living, I fully sympathise with. My life’s not like Nicole Kidman’s, though.”

Otto is currently promoting Blessed, in which she stars as a single mother who struggles to connect with her teenage daughter.

The movie also co-stars British actress Frances O’Connor and Otto’s fellow Aussie actress, Deborra-Lee Furness.

Tom Cruise appears to be taking steps to reverse the height problem he keeps having with his wives.

The star of Valkyrie appeared in Melbourne in some chunky-heeled Nike trainers, leading to speculation he was making an effort to redress the imbalance.

His former wife Nicole Kidman famously declared she would be able to again to wear heels once they were no longer together, although the actress’s height does set her apart by ordinary mortal standards.

But Cruise again appears to be battling a bit of height differential with Katie Holmes, 30.

The 47-year-old Cruise claims to be 170cm, or 5′7″; wearing the Nikes, however, he appeared suddenly to gain on his spouse, who stands 175cm, or 5′ 9″.

David Letterman once asked Holmes, who is in Melbourne to film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark: “I’m thinking that Tom Cruise has got the loveliest woman in the world. How does that happen, for God’s sake? He’s shorter than you are.”

Holmes shot back: “‘I think he’s sexy.”

Nicole Kidman will take to reality TV, appearing as a guest on Project Runway: All Star Challenge.

Kidman, in a cameo appearance, will help to set up a make-it-work challenge on the show.

A two-hour special will air just before the premiere of the sixth season of Runway, which brings back Heidi Klum as host and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia.

One contestant from last season, Korto Momolu, will be going for a $100,000 cash prize.

Project Runway: All-Star Challenge will premiere on Thursday, August 20, at 8pm EST on Lifetime.

Keith was nominated for the Best Country Collaboration for the song “Let the Wind Chase You” duet which he sang along with Trish Yearwood.

It’s really all about the red carpet, the awards function and the swanky after awards night parties which no one other than Hollywood can celebrate better. I think pictures of Keith and Nicole show that there is tremendous love between the two and Nicole is a very happy woman. God bless both of them.

Locals I tell have gone from being responsible citizens who cared for their locality and for the good of the community and have today become more of maniacs who have lost complete control over being patient and allowing other people freedom. Australia may have been included in the top box office earners for movies which opened and still showing this month but many of Nicole Kidman’s critics consider this a judgment on Kidman’s ability to carry a movie. Australia ranked number five during the first week of December with $14.815 million receipts which was several millions less than top 4 films Quantum of Solace with $19.5 million receipts. However, the receipts for Australia went down by 53% for this week with earnings of only $7 million.

Critics are saying that the film is even not getting a good response from Australia, the country where its stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman and even the director Baz Luhrmann came from. Luhrmann earlier said they made the movie not for anything else but for sheer creativity. Other critics contend that Australia is gourmet food compared to the other movies like Quantum of Solace which are considered fastfood so the box office returns are pretty understandable.

For one, Luhrmann’s movies are always a pleasure to watch if only for their artistic splendor. The performance of Brandon Walters as Nullah is also one reason why you should watch the movie. Another Oscar-winning and bankable actress has declared her plans to retire from her acting career in the near future in favor of family life. Nicole Kidman’s admission that she may just opt to retire and take care of her children came weeks after Angelina Jolie declared she is contemplating on doing fewer movies and ultimately fading away from the industry in favor of family life.

I didn’t think the early movies were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background,” Nicole told Glamour’s December issue.

A source said: “It’s three rings intertwined, so it’s very symbolic.”

Kidman says she stays out of the sun to avoid skin damage, which is probably why she has such luminous skin. Actually, my dad had a very rare form of skin cancer that the doctor told my brother and myself we could easily get it as well. One of the things we were told is STAY OUT OF THE SUN! Of course at the time, we lived in Arizona and since then have relocated. You can put on all the sunscreen you want, but you still have to be careful. Okay fine if she has skin cancer, do what the docs have asked you to do and take care of that pale looking skin of yours’. This also shows that our celebrities are just as human as we are, they to have to face medical problems and it’s as tough for them as it is for us. Hope she can get the condition sorted out because disease is like cancer is very tough to over come.
