Reality TV star Jon Gosselin teamed up with Michael Jackson’s ‘celebrity rabbi’ for a bizarre public apology as he bids to improve his tainted image.

The 32-year-old has made headlines for his partying and womanising since a high-profile split with Jon & Kate Plus 8 co-star and wife Kate Gosselin earlier this year.

But in recent days, he has been showing remorse for his behaviour – and put his PR machine into overdrive with a press conference alongside Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, close friend and confidante of Michael Jackson.

“I think I’m just misunderstood. I’m not a fame seeker. Every day, I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous],” he told the media inside the West Side Jewish Centre in New York.

“I don’t sing. I don’t dance. I’m not a Nobel Peace Prizewinner. I just had eight kids and I had a show on TLC (TV channel).”

Wearing a sober black suit, and without his trademark flashy earrings, he spoke about how he became intoxicated by celebrity.

He said: “Half the stuff I’ve done, if I look at my moral compass, I shouldn’t have done. I know that but I did it anyway. It’s like fame cancelled out conviction.”

“I want to apologise to Kate in private,” he added. “I’ll apologise to her for openly having relationships in the public eye.

“That was a huge mistake, because if she would’ve done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off. Not because our relationship is over, it’s almost like a stab in the back.

“And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it.”

Myleene, 31, has been with her bodyguard boyfriend Graham, 35, for eight years and they have a two-year-old daughter Ava.

However, Myleene, who earlier this year hosted the US version of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, has said she isn’t so keen on tying the knot with Graham.

She said: “I’m going to keep on living in sin – I quite like it. People keep asking me when I’m going to get married but I have gone off the idea now.

“When I was younger, I thought I would get married and have a fairytale wedding.

“But now, I really don’t think it’s necessary. As you get older, you realise what your priorities are.”

Reality star Jon Gosselin was reportedly “a mess” at his daughters’ recent birthday party.

Jon, 32, turned up to the party held for twins Mady and Cara’s birthday and onlookers say he was a mess.

Jon split with wife Kate, 34, in June and the couple have eight children together and were the focus of a US reality show called Jon & Kate Plus 8.

An onlooker said to FOX411: “Jon didn’t shower or clean up for the birthday party. He looked like he was in clothes he had slept in the night before. He barely shaved and was a mess.

“He walked in with his own cake for the girls, but as Kate had promised, she made a traditional cake like she tries to do for every birthday.”

The onlooker also claims that Jon read emails from Kate to the paparazzi on his Blackberry and also left the bash to speak to the paps.

The onlooker added: “Jon is willing to talk to anyone and trust anyone. He is making a public mess out of their divorce and Kate will not participate in the mud-slinging.

“After all she saw him doing, she actually felt a little sad for him and had intended to let him spend as many hours as he wanted with the girls.

“Kate sees him falling apart and she is still so angry with him, but she is beginning to see him unravel far more than she ever will. She acted as if everything was fine in front of the kids and was very nice to Jon.”

Tito Jackson could be one of the celebs to head to the jungle for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The 55-year-old older brother of Michael, who died suddenly in June, said he would love to go on the jungle show but would not like to take part in Strictly Come Dancing as he can’t dance.

He said: “David Gest is a good friend, and I went out to Australia to meet him when he came out of the jungle.

“It’s a great show. I would love to do it. I wouldn’t be worried about eating bugs.”

An ITV source said: “Getting Tito in the jungle would be a massive ratings winner. The only thing now is to try to agree a fee.”

The Dancing with the Stars curse seems to have struck again, after actress Debi Mazar injured her neck on the set.

The Entourage star tweeted about her injury, posting a picture of herself wearing a neck brace.

She wrote: “Dwts!! after premiere. hospital. I’m ok. torn muscle in neck to chest! Foxtrot … cruel & sadistic If only judges knew”

It is the latest in a long line of mishaps on the set.

Already this season, which is only a few days old, singer Mýa cut her hand and former US house majority leader Tom Delay hurt his foot in practice.

In previous seasons the likes of Jackass star Steve-O, singer Jewell and reality star Melissa Rycroft were among those on the injured list.

Mazar survived the first round of eliminations, ending her debut with one of the highest scores of the night.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is to be the new face of brand L’Oreal Paris.

The 26-year-old is currently on UK TV screens judging contestants on talent show The X Factor, alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Waslsh and Dannii Minogue.

Cheryl will reportedly represent the brand in the UK and her first campaign will be to promote the hair product Elvive Full Restore 5, hitting stores next month.

Cheryl said: “I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase: ‘Because you’re worth it.’ So to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing.”

Television ratings for Jon & Kate Plus Eight have taken a dive. Monday night’s episode of the once-perfect family reality show drew 3 million viewers – down from 3.4 million the week before.

Jon Gosselin has recently whipped up a tabloid storm with his to and fros with Hailey Glassman and Kate Major. Major spewed some public venom at Gosselin after claiming he encouraged her to quit her job as a magazine reporter on the false premise that they would become an item.

Kate Gosselin, meanwhile, has maintained a steady single parenting presence. The couple earlier started divorce proceedings and the show took a brief July hiatus.

The ratings were still strong for TLC, since they put the show at Number 2 out of ad-supported cable shows at that hour, RadarOnline reports.

Glassman, who appears to be with Jon, has now claimed that TLC executives knew that the couple’s marriage was essentially over a year ago. She went as far as to call TLC “the lying channel”.

Reality star Kim Kardashian is reportedly set to make a guest appearance on new sitcom Brothers.

The 28-year-old, who stars in a fly-on-the-wall reality show called Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is said to be making an appearance on the new FOX sitcom.

The episode will be filmed shortly and is due to be aired in October.

Kim will reportedly play herself in the show and will confront former football star Michael Trainor, who will be played by real-life former New York Giant Michael Strahan about rumours that they had a secret tryst.

The sitcom will also star Daryl ‘Chill’ Mitchell, CCH Pounder and Carl Weathers and it will premiere on FOX on September 25.

The couple, who star with their eight children in the reality TV series Jon & Kate Plus 8, were expected to make an announcement of their divorce during a special edition of the program scheduled for Monday night.

But court papers were reported filed in Pennsylvania during the day. The preliminary documents were filed in Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown on Monday afternoon. The couple had been married 10 years but recent charges of infidelity on both sides plagued their marriage in the public forum.

Their own relatives went on record saying the pair were at war and that production crews on the show had spoken out about the way their children were being treated on set. Kate Gosselin was seen taking time away with her children in North Carolina without Jon present, while Jon was seen spending a lonely Father’s Day with his kids and a trickle of fans at the couple’s Pennsylvania house – the day before the papers were filed.

Kate recently hit out at tabloids for their coverage of the marriage. In a statement to celeb weekly Life & Style she said: “Whether the paparazzi are there or not, I am a mother first. I love my children and when they misbehave, I discipline them as I deem appropriate for the situation.”

Piers Morgan said his fellow Britain’s Got Talent judges Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell have had so much Botox, they “should be dead”.

The 44-year-old star, who is also a judge on America’s Got Talent, said he’s the only one of the judges who hasn’t succumbed to cosmetic surgery procedures.

He said, “Simon and Amanda are both so full of Botox they really should be dead. It’s ridiculous. I’m the only natural one on the panel [who hasn’t had it]! I’m the organic one and far more healthy.”

Piers also revealed that Amanda was ecstatic when she received a message from Hollywood star Demi Moore on her Twitter page.

“Amanda just won’t stop banging on about it,” he revealed.

“[It was] Demi this, Demi that, she really is very pleased with herself and incredibly smug. It’s driving us all potty.”

Amanda Holden says it’s a “blessing” that exhausted Susan Boyle didn’t win Britain’s Got Talent.

The judge, who sits on the hit TV show’s panel alongside Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, believes that Boyle was lucky to have missed out on the top spot.

The Scottish singing phenomenon – who was pipped to the post by dance act Diversity – has been admitted to hospital after reportedly suffering a nervous breakdown.

She is now said to be resting at London’s Priory Clinic.

Holden said: “It’s taken its toll on her – she’s gone from a woman that nobody knew to worldwide fame. For anybody in the business to handle that kind of stress is an enormous amount of pressure, and I think she probably has just crumbled under it.

“Actually it’s probably a blessing that she didn’t win because the spotlight’s not so heavily on her.

“Perhaps now, she can just relax and enjoy what’s happening to her rather than feel the pressure.”

Health experts have suggested Boyle, who was flung into the global media spotlight after stunning BGT audiences with her vocals, may already have psychological problems.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has called the media circus surrounding Susan Boyle a “soap opera”.

Boyle, 48, has constantly been in the headlines ever since her first audition, and over 100 million people have watched her performance on internet site YouTube.

But the singer has had to endure constant sniping from critics and reportedly flipped out in a recent foul-mouthed rant witnessed by hundreds of people in a London hotel.

According to fellow judge Piers Morgan’s blog, Cowell, 49, said to Morgan: “This is like a soap opera. I have never known anything like this in my whole career. It’s crazy.”

Morgan has defended Boyle in recent days and posted messages on his blog saying his “heart bleeds” for her after she was criticised in the press.

The former “Girls Next Door” star will be appearing on the US TV talent show “Dancing with the Stars”. The news about Holly Madison participating on the show was accidentally leaked on TV by her old co-star Bridget Marquardt who said the following: “I’m so excited for her. She’s wanted to do it for so long. It just never worked with her schedule and Hef’ was always like, ‘I don’t want you to do that,’ and now it’s her time, so I’m really happy for her.” Of course! We are all happy for Holly Madison. At least she found some excuse to appear on TV after so much time of inactivity. Thank god the show probably consists of nothing more than an excuse of boob flashing so it won’t be too much of a challenge for Holly Madison.

Dancing with the Stars funny lady Cloris Leachman was hospitalized in the LA area last Thursday for pneumonia.
Noooooo, I hope she feels a lot better, I love her. She better take care of herself more.
Thankfully, the doctors say that she’s feeling a whole lot better and she has been from the care center.
In fact, she’s been well enough to participate in another Dancing with the Stars rehearsal.
She’s set to make an appearance in next week’s show finale.

Did you think that Misty May-Treanor would have the courage and strength to continue on “Dancing with the Stars”.

After a foot injury during dance rehearsal with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on October 3, the Olympic volleyball gold medalist was forced to step out of the dance show.

The announcement came from the beautiful May-Treanor herself live on the Monday night show on October 6, 2008.

Well! She had the courage but not enough strength to return.

At the end of the show, May-Treanor talked to PEOPLE magazine, “I ruptured my Achilles tendon and from that point on I knew I couldn’t continue. I’m out and I’m really bummed.”

She further added, “We don’t know why these things happen. They could happen to anyone. I feel like I was only just beginning here.”

Every dark cloud has a silver lining and the good news is that the injured Misty has decided to start her family with husband Matt Treanor, a professional baseball player, as she will be requiring nine months for the rehabilitation after her surgery.

She said, “Having nine months off? That could happen. I was planning to take a little time off next year anyway, so this solidifies that.”

May God give her strength to return to the volleyball court and even to the ballroom.
