Ok, I don’t know about anyone else, but when I picture a woman in labour I see lots of shouting and yelling; often lots of cursing of the man involved along the lines of “don’t think you are ever coming near me again you ******”…or something like that.

So it just seems unnatural, and almost impossible, to give birth in absolute silence. Especially with no painkillers or medical interference. However, apparently Katie Holmes did it, thanks to husband Tom Cruise’s belief in Scientology; and now J-Lo wishes to follow in her footsteps.

The belief behind it is those noisy hospital environments, screaming, and doctors yelling “push” can have a poor effect on the child later in life.

Oh to be a fly on the wall; I have to salute the woman that succeeds childbirth in utter silence with no pain relief. Men you don’t know how easy you have it.

Germany has banned Scientologist Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise, 44, is unwelcome for location filming at Germany’s military headquarters in Berlin because of his advocacy of Scientology, a German politician said Friday. The US actor-director is reportedly planning a movie about the July 20, 1944 attempt to assassinate Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, who survived the blast bloodied but not seriously injured.

The German defence ministry said Cruise has “publicly professed to being a member of the Scientology cult”. Scientology masquerades as a religion to make money, Germany said, but leaders of the church reject this. Cruise’s producing partner Paula Wagner said the star’s own convictions had no relation to the film’s content. “Personal beliefs have absolutely no bearing on the movie’s plot or themes,” she said.

Cruise is arguably Hollywood’s most outspoken member of the Church of Scientology. He became involved with Scientology in 1990 through his first wife, Mimi Rogers. Cruise has publicly said that Scientology, specifically the L. Ron Hubbard Scientology Study Tech, helped him overcome his dyslexia.
