Penelope Cruz has allegedly gone into hiding amid rumours she is pregnant.

The Spanish-born screen beauty is reportedly expecting a baby with actor Javier Bardem, 40.

Sources say Cruz, who has not been photographed since the beginning of the month, is “hiding out” until she’s further along in the pregnancy.

The New York Post reports: “[She] has been avoiding the limelight since June.”

Earlier this month it was claimed that Cruz, 35, was “four months” pregnant with Bardem’s child. The pair have been dating for more than two years.

A representative for Cruz was unavailable for comment.

George Clooney has been forced to deny reports he had died.

The Ocean’s Thirteen hunk, 48, became the latest star to fall victim to Internet pranksters who rushed online to spread rumours of his death.

Clooney’s publicist Stan Rosenfield told celebrity website TMZ.com that he was “bombarded” with calls from media outlets after claims of his passing began to surface.

He told the site that “some of Clooney’s friends… were genuinely shaken by [the] reports.”

A surge of fake deaths have emerged in the last week, following the genuine deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.

Jeff Goldblum was a victim of tricksters after an online stunt insisted he had fallen to his death while filming in New Zealand.

Britney Spears’ representatives also had to confirm the singer was alive after a hacker broke into her Twitter account and sent a message to her two million followers claiming she had died. It was also wrongly rumoured that Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder had passed away.

The actress, however, encouraged her fan not to do this: “Wish I could contact this woman Lisa Connell who wants to have surgery to look like me and encourage her to not to! She is a beautiful girl!” Lisa Connell herself had this to say abut looking like Demi Moore: “People think I’m crazy for doing this, but I know it will make my last months or years happier. Rumors of reconciliation between Rihanna and Chris Brown have elicited mixed reactions from the couple’s fans and friends. Some are saying they have seen that coming while some are saying Rihanna should get out of that abusive relationship while she is still alive. Rihanna was recently seen swimming in a Los Angeles private villa. This was the first time people had a glimpse of her after she flew to Barbados and to wherever she spent “alone” time after that violent incident with Chris Brown.

Chris Brown and Rihanna have reportedly spent some time at the Star Island mansion of Sean “Diddy” Combs in Miami Beach. It is however virtually impossible to get even a glimpse or a photograph of 13,000 square-foot property as it is very private. Chris Brown kept in touch with Rihanna on her 21st birthday last February 20. Rihanna’s representative however denied she has talked to Chris Brown on the phone.

His gig at the Spaceland club in Silverlake still kicked off in disaster as his guitar jammed during the opening song. Quizzed on his way into the concert about how the 15-minute wedding went, the American declared: “It was nice, thanks.”

Drummey, who refused to take his sunglasses off throughout the entire ceremony, was also asked if he had been drunk when he and Peaches tied the knot with a photographer acting as witness.

He insisted: “No — it was early in the morning.”

His bride, who last week flew home from the US, is expected to spend the weekend with her father on the Spanish isle before returning to England.

Cosmetics giant L’Oreal was under fire last night over claims it made black star Beyonce Knowles’ skin appear white in an advert.

It seems we’re not all “worth it” after all.

The New York Post called the picture “shocking” and accused L’Oreal of making Beyonce, 26, look like a “weird, nearly white version of herself.”

And yesterday Britain’s best-selling black newspaper The Voice said it would be “disgusted” if the image had been “whitewashed”.

Editor Steve Pope said: “There is an attitude in the modelling industry that black models do not sell. Models that end up in magazines tend to be very, very light-skinned or Asian. It appears Beyonce has been the victim of that kind of attitude. If it is true, I cannot understand why anyone would want to do anything so ridiculous. It is offensive to Beyonce. It is trying to distort who she is.”

Last night L’Oreal denied any tampering.

A spokesman said: “It is categorically untrue that L’Oreal Paris altered Miss Knowles’ features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria hair colour.”

A spokesman for Beyonce — who is wed to US rapper JAY-Z, 38 — repeated L’Oreal’s statement.

Cybill Shepherd says she is being haunted by ex-love Elvis Presley. The actress wishes she had done more to help the late music legend as his life descended into binge eating and depression before his untimely death at the age of 42.

She said: “I don’t feel him in a way that I feel I have to call ghostbusters, but I’ve been haunted by Elvis in the sense that when I knew him, he was very sweet but also seriously into drugs.”

Cybill dated Elvis in the early 70s but was unable to cope with his self-destructive tendencies and eventually left him for film director Peter Bogdanovich.

Jerry Hall’s son has threatened to kill himself if she gets a boyfriend. The former model – who split from 10-year-old Gabriel’s father, Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, in 1999 – has revealed her son doesn’t want her to start dating again.

She said: “Gabriel gets very angry with me if I work too much. He absolutely hates the idea of me having a boyfriend. He says, ‘If you get a boyfriend, I will kill myself.’ I say to him, ‘But darling, you will grow up and get married one day and it would be nice for mum to have some company.’”

Toni Braxton was rushed to the hospital last week when she was having trouble breathing after performing at Flamingo. And it seems that the case was more serious than expected and that Toni might not be returning to the Las Vegas Strip to perform any time soon – at least not for another month. The Flamingo Las Vegas President Don Marrandino said that Toni’s Tuesday to Saturday scheduled shows are now off and that she’s going to take advantage of a previously scheduled two week break that she had planned. They are offering refunds for the canceled shows though. Toni is set to return to the stage on May 6, a Tuesday. I hope you start feeling better Toni!

Staffers at Parents magazine are peeved at the People magazine spread on Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s newborn twins. The people at Parents magazine posted an open memo to the Latina singer citing numerous baby safety hazards – namely suffocation hazards in the form of the canopies and bows on and around the cribs. However, Kimberlee Mitchell, owner and founder of child safety company Boo Boo Busters, says that JLo hasn’t really done anything wrong. Kimberlee explains by saying “When your baby starts sitting up, at around six months or so, that’s when you remove any canopies or mobiles.” The twins are barely a month old.

Serial bride Patsy Kensit has split from fiancé Jeremy Healy – the man she planned to make her fourth pop hubby.

The Holby City actress, 40, was due to wed DJ Jeremy, 46 – one of house music’s top names – in the summer.

Last night a friend of Jeremy’s said it was the DJ who ended the eight-month romance with mum-of-two Patsy. The pal said: “As the wedding became a reality, I just don’t think he could go through with such a commitment. Patsy must be gutted – she surely thought she’d found the one this time.”

The pair first met when Patsy was 16 and in 1980s band Eighth Wonder. Jeremy was in Haysifantayzee, who had a 1983 hit with John Wayne Is Big Leggy.

The couple fell in love last August, after bumping into each other at a party.

Ex-Emmerdale star Patsy’s three failed marriages have all been to musicians.

She wed Dan Donovan of Big Audio Dynamite in 1988. They split in 1991.

In 1992, she married Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, dad to her son James, and in 1997 she wed Oasis singer Liam Gallagher. They had a son Lennon and split in 2000.

Patsy had reportedly asked film star friend Liz Hurley to be bridesmaid. The pal added: “She must be devastated.”
