It’s the year for celeb weddings. This time it is Geri Halliwell that is getting married.

The former Spice Girls star - who has a two-year-old daughter Bluebell - is planning a September wedding with her backing dancer partner Ivan ‘Flipz’ Velez.

A source said: ‘Geri has a huge diamond and an even bigger grin on her face now that she and Ivan are marrying. It’s been a whirlwind affair but when you know, you know and she doesn’t care if she’s criticized for being hasty. Her daughter loves Ivan and that’s the only opinion she cares about.’

The ceremony will reportedly take place at London’s St. Bride’s church, often dubbed the ‘writer’s church’ because it is located on Fleet Street the former home of many newspapers, after Geri recently launched a new career as a children’s novelist.

The source added: ‘She’s always wanted to be a September bride.’

Geri, who met ‘Flipz’ during the Spice Girls reunion tour, recently revealed she is considering adopting.

She said: “I have a sister and would love to be able to give Bluebell that gift. I feel I have the capacity to love a child that’s not mine in blood. Before I had Bluebell, even a long time ago, I thought about adoption. I’m open to what life brings.”

Is the quiet newlywed Beyonce Knowles already growing a little diva or hip hop mogul inside her tummy? The New York Post is reporting that the singer is pregnant with her first child with rapper Jay-Z. The paper reports confidently that “Pals of the tight-lipped newlyweds say the songbird is expecting the couple’s first child.” Only time will tell if it’s true but a rep for Beyonce saucily responds to the story by saying “I don’t know if she’s pregnant. Let me perform an ultrasound and get back to you.” Please do. That way, we don’t have to read about any more speculations.

Louise Redknapp is expecting a baby. The former Eternal singer - who is married to former soccer star Jamie Redknapp - is three-and-a-half months pregnant with her second child.

Louise admitted that the pregnancy was a “shock” after it took years for her to conceive her first child, Charley, who is now three. She suffers from severe endometriosis, which can affect the chances of conceiving, so was stunned she fell pregnant after just four weeks of trying.

She said: “It took me four years to have Charley and so this time, after just a month, it was very unexpected. We had talked about having another baby and we kind of expected the same problems as last time. When I did the pregnancy test, I nearly fell off the chair. My friend popped in and I dragged her upstairs and said, ‘You’ve got to look at this. Am I reading it wrong?’”

Louise - who currently models for lingerie company Triumph - added: “I’m really happy, but there will be no modelling for a while.”

Louise - who is due in November - says she and Jamie want to find out the sex of their child before she gives birth.

70s Motown signer Martha Reeves was reportedly robbed. The singer says that thieves kicked in the back door of her childhood home, a house owned by her father, in Detroit this past weekend and were able to get away with around $1 million worth of uninsured recording equipment. I bet those premiums look petty compared to her loss now. She claims that speakers, microphones and karaoke machines were among the items taken. Either there were a lot of thieves there or they had a great amount of time inside the house and a huge getaway vehicle to have taken that much. Has she not heard of security measures?

While most people are thinking that Paula Abdul was drunk on the Tuesday night performance show of American Idol, Paula and her publicist Jeff Ballard are saying otherwise. In a statement sent out on Wednesday, Paula’s publicist said that she was not drunk and that she never had a martini during her lunch but instead had a sparkling water with lime. Apparently, the petite Idol judge doesn’t even drink at all. Her publicist goes on to say that it wasn’t an assistant who was with her but rather the head of Talent for FOX. Well, if she wasn’t drunk but was acting that way, surely she must have been on something.

Benji Madden has written a love song for Paris Hilton.

The Good Charlotte rocker penned ‘Shine Your Light’ in tribute to his girlfriend, who he has been dating for two months. Describing it as the ’sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me’, Paris revealed: “He actually wrote me a beautiful song, and recorded it in the studio. He surprised me with it. It’s this really beautiful love song about me.’

The 27-year-old socialite has also revealed being with Benji has totally changed her life. She explained: “He’s just different from any guy that I’ve ever been with. I trust him completely, and I know that he’d be there for me, no matter what. My life’s a lot different now, I’m very much at peace, and I’m so happy, and in control, and so very excited about life.”

The former Victoria’s Secret model - who has two children, two-year-old Henry and one-year-old Johan, with Seal, as well as a three-year-old daughter Leni from a relationship with Flavio Briatore - hinted the couple didn’t wait until their second date before consummating their relationship.

I don’t think I could properly educate a child right now. Maybe in the future, but I actually haven’t thought about it. For now, I enjoy my dog Jack’s company. If I were to have a child, I would want to be married with a stable family environment. Not to say that’s how everyone has to do it but it’s the way I want to do things. My parents divorced when I was young and I’m not saying it was unstable but it’s not ideal either.” Who would want a diva for a mom anyway?

Unlike Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera is one very proud Latina – which is probably why the petite singer was chosen to be one of the cover girls for People en Español’s 50 Most Beautiful 2008 issue. When asked about what she thought of Latin culture, Christina said that she absolutely loves it and that it’s something that she wants to instill in her son. That’s something we all know that Jessica Alba won’t do. If anything, she’ll tell her kid that they don’t have any Latino blood at all! Why can’t all Latinos be like Christina and Fergie. Heck! Fergie’s Latina blood only comes from her father’s grandmother and she’s still proud of it!

Toni Braxton was rushed to the hospital last week when she was having trouble breathing after performing at Flamingo. And it seems that the case was more serious than expected and that Toni might not be returning to the Las Vegas Strip to perform any time soon – at least not for another month. The Flamingo Las Vegas President Don Marrandino said that Toni’s Tuesday to Saturday scheduled shows are now off and that she’s going to take advantage of a previously scheduled two week break that she had planned. They are offering refunds for the canceled shows though. Toni is set to return to the stage on May 6, a Tuesday. I hope you start feeling better Toni!

It’s been months since Kanye West’s mother, Dr. Donda West, died but it’s only just now that Kanye is opening up about it. The rapper recently posted a blog to talk about how his life is different after his mom’s passing. He says “I don’t do anything I don’t love anymore… While people chase money I pursue happiness… If there’s anything my mom taught me is to enjoy life. I just recorded my first verse in the last 6 months 2 days ago at Bape’s Studio in Japan. It felt good and I was inspired… The constant hours of creating helped me 2 keep from loosing my mind in a bad way. Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. All that said, life is good.”

Paula Abdul has reportedly split from her boyfriend.

Friends of the ‘American Idol’ judge claim she has separated from restaurateur JT Torregiani, after less than a year together.

However, JT is not upset about the break-up because he wasn’t committed to Paula. A source said: “He wasn’t that serious about it and hadn’t invested too much in the relationship.”

Paula, 45, sparked rumors her romance might be on the rocks when she failed to show at the opening of JT’s new restaurant Beso, which he has launched with ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria, in March. At the bash, JT was spotted flirting with female guests.

Paula recently spoke about her desire to settle down and start a family. She said: “I do want children. I’ll probably adopt because I think it’ll be in the next three to five years. I wouldn’t necessarily adopt from abroad like some celebs. I just want a healthy baby.”

Paula has been married twice. She split from actor husband Emilio Estevez in 1994 after a two-year marriage, while her union to sportswear designer Brad Beckerman also ended after two years in 1998.

You would think that having jobs like the Access Hollywood Dancing with the Stars correspondent, working on a solo album and designing a fashion line would be enough for one woman to take on but Mel B. actually got herself another job. The Spice Girl joins former boy band member Joey Fatone in hosting ‘The Singing Office’ on TLC. It’s a singing competition for employees going up against fellow employees. Of the contest, Mel says “It’s not a serious competition. It gives people a break from their everyday lives to have some fun with their co-workers.” Here’s to hoping that it won’t create drama in the workplace.

We may not be seeing her out as much due to her impetigo condition but that’s not preventing Amy Winehouse from being a party animal. Early Tuesday morning, the singer was spotted shouting goodbye to her friends who were leaving her Camden home looking a little worse for wear. Wino can’t be looking like that for much longer if reports are true that she has been offered a lucrative deal by top fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. The offer reportedly comes after Victoria Beckham told the designer how she admired Amy’s unique sense of style. A rep for Amy says that she is still considering many offers at the moment so there’s no confirmation there.

Richie Sambora was arrested for DUI on Tuesday but he could be facing criminal charges of child endangerment as his 10-year old daughter Ava, along with another juvenile and another adult, was in the car during his arrest. Sources say that after Richie was busted, the cops called Heather Locklear, Ava’s mom, and she authorized the other adult in the car to drive her daughter home. If the Bon Jovi guitarist was indeed driving drunk, he could be charged with endangering the 2 kids. He hasn’t been charged as of yet but the Laguna Beach PD is actively investigating the situation.

Jason Rae, saxophone player and husband of British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae, was found dead in a Leeds, England, apartment.

Police were called to the home on Saturday afternoon. When they arrived, 31 year old Jason was dead.

A 32 year old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled substances. Rae died from a suspected overdose, but police are still waiting on results of toxicology reports.

New mom Christina Aguilera was spotted just as she hopped into her limo after leaving Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles on Monday. The 27-year old Grammy award winning singer reportedly spent the day doing a photo shoot for People en Español. Later on that day, Christina was spotted with a gal pal and her music exec husband Jordan Bratman grabbing a bite to eat. There was no sign of their 2-month old son Max though. Maybe he just stayed at home with the nanny. Tsk. Is she even spending some time with her son? Or does she not care much like we did when her cover came out?

Victoria Beckham has reignited her feud with Britney Spears.

The Spice Girls star - who first fell out with Britney when the ‘Toxic’ star reportedly refused to sit next to her at prestigious Los Angeles’ hotel Chateau Marmont last year - has now blasted the 26-year-old for not having any personal input into her perfume line.

Speaking about the launch of her new dVb denim range for men, Victoria said: “I’m a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I’m not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, ‘Sell this perfume.’ This is a real passion of mine. People think all I do is go shopping like a miserable cow, but, in actual fact, I work bloody hard.”

Mother-of-three Victoria also revealed how she likes her husband, soccer star David Beckham, to wear his denims.

She added: “I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops - exactly how you see David when he’s out in his jeans and T-shirt. Do not pull them up tight and have your bulge showing. Let it hang! I didn’t want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me. It might be fashionable, but you are not going to get that from dVb.”

Victoria recently revealed she would hate to have Britney’s life, adding: “I could never live a life like Britney Spears, who is under the spotlight every day. “I couldn’t do that. I would go stir crazy. I need my privacy with my husband and children otherwise I’d just go loopy.”

Jessica Simpson will sing for US troops.

The ‘With You’ singer will fly to Kuwait to entertain soldiers who are currently on duty in the Middle Eastern country. She said: “I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio. It’s truly an honour to perform for the troops. I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It’s every girl’s dream!”

Her trip is being sponsored by social networking site, MySpace, under the name Operation MySpace. Other acts set to perform at the concert on March 10 include the Pussycat Dolls and rock bands Disturbed and Filter.

Jessica is the latest in a long line of stars to perform for the armed services. She follows in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe, Robin Williams, Mariah Carey and Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins.

In 2001, ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Andy Garcia visited US troops at a military base in Turkey. While they were there they signed autographs, chatted and posed for pictures with the soldiers in a bid to boost their morale.

Amy Winehouse’s jailbird husband Blake Fielder-Civil will be spitting porridge when he hears about this.

The Rehab singer was all over Blake Wood at fashion designer Andrew Buckler’s party at trendy East London club Shoreditch House. On a night of lavish bashes on both sides of the capital, stars flocked to the West for the Elle Style Awards bash in Notting Hill or East for the London Fashion Week party on Tuesday.

Amy headed to the East End for her first big night out since leaving rehab last week and new Blake didn’t leave her side. One witness said they looked like a loved-up young couple and Blake couldn’t keep his eyes off her.

The source said: “Blake held her bag all night and was snuggled up behind her when she was in the DJ booth, putting his arms around her waist. When a romantic song came on she came out of the booth and slow danced with him. They were gazing into each other’s eyes. They were very openly tactile. If I didn’t know she was a married woman, I would have said they looked like a loved-up young couple. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her.”

Amy has calmed her worried hubby by telling him new Blake is gay; despite his Facebook page saying he is into both men and women. She has a habit of dropping Blake’s name into her live shows and will probably still do so at next week’s Brits.

In case you’re behind on your Britney gossip, her business manager Howard Grossman is big buddies from way back with one Sam Lufti. Hmm, conflict of interests, perhaps?

A court order has given Britney’s father (as her temporary conservator) the right to fire Grossman. Grossman was given orders to give up “all documents, records, and assets relating to Britney Spears.” Grossman says he has no idea why they’ve decided to do this.

Additionally, Britney’s custody lawyers Trope and Trope have filed papers asking to be released from her case. They no longer want to represent her in her dispute with Kevin Federline. Sorrell Trope says, “We filed paper asking to be relieved, and hopefully they will find someone to replace us. I’m not at liberty to say more at this time.”

It seems Britney’s doctor has deemed her ok to leave. She was placed on a 14 day hold that only he could release her from. But today, she left the hospital quietly this afternoon. She was later seen leaving her home in Summit Circle.

No one has made any official comment as of yet. There is still a restraining order keeping Sam Lufti far away from her, so maybe that will help. It isn’t known yet if she will be doing outpatient treatment or not.

Kylie Minogue and Olivier Martinez may be back together. We have had reports that the pair recently enjoyed a two-day reunion in Paris, where the lurve was said to be blossoming as beautifully as springtime blooms.

An onlooker was quoted: “They were pouring their hearts out to each other and were very intimate.”

Also a member of Olivier’s family said: “She has always described him as the love of her life.”

While neither Kylie nor Olivier has confirmed a reunion of the hearts, we are waiting with baited breath for a whisper of any sort to say yay or nay.

Now this is how you create a commotion! It has been a while since Mariah Carey scored a hit but that doesn’t mean that she can no longer stop crowds and create a media storm. The curvaceous diva posed for cameras as she shopped for butterfly designs on Monday at Van Cleef & Arpels on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. The singer also made a stop into Gucci for some extra shopping as paparazzi continued to get shots of her and her amazing cleavage – at least when they have a clear shot of it. There’s no doubt that it wasn’t just her cleavage which made jaws drop. I’m sure her credit card bill will too.

After three days without sleep and nights spent talking to trees, troubled star Britney Spears is in official meltdown. Her psychiatrist paid her a midnight call and is thought to be trying to have her sectioned under the Mental Health act once again for her own safety.

Mum Lynne and manager, Sam Lufti, are currently in the house with Britney, who is said to inert, unresponsive and confused.

This new breakdown comes after Britney went on a 5am shopping trip to buy Red Bull and constipation pills before continuing her habit of driving aimlessly around Los Angeles all night in her new car.

At one point she stopped inexplicably in the middle of a canyon road, clambered from the Mercedes and confessed to the waiting photographers she was dizzy, afraid and wanted to go home. She then padded into the forest making strange faces and muttering to the trees in her new mock British accent.

The psychiatrist was told about the driving and decided she must be hospitalised on another “5150 hold” - which her manager agrees with.

Poor Britney. Incidentally, boyfriend Adnan is nowhere to be seen.

And she wants everyone to be convinved that she’s such a good mother. Oh wait, maybe she can teach them what kind of girl to stay away from when they grow up.

Britney Spears headed out for some fun Friday night and was wrapped in a long coat. As the night went by, she slowly peeled away layer after layer of clothing. By the end of the night, she was down to a little red shirt that was practically falling off.

At least she kept her pants on and her legs closed!

Ok I know the world and his wife are probably sick to the back teeth of the Britney Spears and Adnan Ghalib saga. I know I pretty much am. However the man just keeps pushing to the point where you can’t help but comment on it.

Just a month into their relationship, Adnan claims to ‘risk’ Britney never speaking to him again to allegedly clear his name. In reality what he is doing is creating more scandal, and money-making opportunities, by lifting the lid on their affair and telling all to two US TV shows.

Whilst refuting claims he’s trying to sell pictures of Britney, the snapper went as far as to compare them to tragic couple Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed and claiming that the star wants to have a baby with him after being banned from seeing her own kids. He also played private voicemail messages from Britney.

He insisted he is speaking out merely to clear his name and slammed reports he is exploiting Britney to rake in cash, denying he made any financial gain from the interviews. But he admitted it could mean the fallen starlet never speaks to him again, and shatter his dreams of marrying her. Adnan also slammed critics who have questioned his relationship with the chart-topper, saying they do not want her to find true happiness, “Whatever it takes. Scandal sells”.

Scandal sells huh? Well you would know Adnan…

Everyone is pretty much sure that Britney Spears is suffering from some sort of bipolar disorder. For months, maybe since the whole custody battle began, Commissioner Scott Gordon has repeatedly ordered the pop wreck to undergo psychological tests but she has not complied. But it now seems that a medical intervention is about to go down.

Brit’s divorce lawyers have reportedly devised a plan to get the fallen pop star into treatment. People are saying that it’s outpatient treatment that would allow professionals to “evaluate and treat” her condition. They’re also saying that Britney is “receptive” to the idea but that it’s not a done deal.

Just hours after footage was released of her allegedly smoking crack cocaine, singer Amy Winehouse was taken to rehab. The troubled youngster was seen entering London’s Capio Nightingale hospital by concerned dad, Mitch. As she entered the top clinic, which has reportedly treated troubled rocker Pete Doherty, she clutched a note from jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil, which read: “We’ll get through this because I f***ing believe in us.”

After assessments by specialists, Mitch took Amy home from the clinic but she must return for regular appointments. Her spokesman said: “She is in good spirits.”

Amy was dealt another blow yesterday after Blake’s mother insisted they should get divorce because of the singer’s bad influence on her son. Georgette Fielder-Civil said: “I know Amy is hooked on drugs. That’s her problem. Her pals are a bad influence on her and she’s a bad influence on her husband. I hope they go their own separate ways for their own good. I believe divorce is the only answer.”

The question is will Blake succumb to his mother’s wishes? They seem pretty devoted to me…but you never know with this pair.

Celebrities who want a turn at being an entrepreneur usually go to the fragrances route but everyone is pretty much over it especially when their products stink. Kylie Minogue is the most recent celebrity entrepreneur but before who pinch your nose, apparently, she’s over the perfumes too!

The Australian singer is coming out with her own bed linen collection instead. ‘Kylie at Home’ will debut later this year. How would you like to be in bed with Kylie? If she’s giving us sheets, maybe a condom line should be in the works too so people will be safe as they roll in between her sheets.
