Rain Talks New Movie

South Korean star Rain recently had an interview with the Associated Press to talk about his new movie, ‘Ninja Assassin’. The 27-year old singer and actor, who plays Raizo, an orphan turned deadly assassin, said that he was inspired by Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan for his leading role in his first American film. Rain said “I hope the movie reaches the No. 1 at the box office but regardless of the numbers, it will open doors for more opportunities in Hollywood not only for myself but for other Asian actors.” The movie will hit theaters next Wednesday, November 25.

Courtney Love Owes the Government

Uncle Sam is on a rampage and he’s gunning for Courtney Love on this round. According to a federal tax lien filed in Los Angeles County, the former Hole lead singer owes the government $324,335.21 in back taxes from way back in 2007. The rock singer’s lawyer, Keith Fink, blamed her tax troubles on her former business manager but added “Ms. Cobain has every intention of paying those taxes.” Considering that she hasn’t done any real work for in a while, I wonder how exactly Courtney intends to pay for all of that! And why has it taken her camp so long to figure out that something funky was going on with her taxes?

Pamela Anderson and ex-hubby Tommy Lee have reportedly been seen “making out” sparking rumours they are back together.

Pamela, 42, and Tommy, 46, married in 1995 and have two sons together. They appeared in an infamous sex tape filmed on their honeymoon but they divorced after three years of marriage in 1998.

The pair were recently seen getting close at club Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

A source said: “They were making out all night and biting each other’s candy necklaces. Later, they headed to Vince Neil’s Paradise Tower mega suite to continue partying.”

Quincy Jones: Michael Didn’t Want to be Black

Quincy Jones knew Michael Jackson better than anyone, even saying that their souls were joined. But now, the record producer is speaking out about the singer’s death as well as some of the late King of Pop’s issues. In an interview with Details magazine, Quincy said that Michael never accepted his race. Quincy was quoted in saying “It’s ridiculous, man! Chemical peels and all of it. And I don’t understand it. But he obviously didn’t want to be black … You see his kids?” If you go back in the archives of Michael’s interviews, he denied having undergone and cosmetic procedures to whiten his skin but instead said that he suffered from a skin disease that makes the skin turn white.

Michael Jackson may be cremated

Michael Jackson’s family is considering cremating the singer’s body so his remains can be scattered at his beloved Neverland Ranch.

Bureaucratic red tape prevented the star’s burial at the Californian estate.

But the family now hopes that they can still fulfill his wish to rest at his former home.

The family is expected to hold a private service tomorrow at the Los Angeles Forest Lawn Cemetery. But a groundskeeper told a US newspaper that he will not be buried then.

Instead, it is claimed, the plan is to temporarily inter the 50-year-old singer’s remains in the cemetery’s Lincoln Terrace section, where there is a huge, marble statue of the former US president Abraham Lincoln, and a mural of him with his arm around an African-American man.

Jackson biographer Stacy Brown said cremation might help the family grieve in private.

He said: “The family… [doesn't] want to wake up one morning and see on the front page a picture of Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket crying over their dad’s grave.”

A huge memorial service for Jackson, who died on June 25 in Los Angeles, will be held at the Staples Center in the city on Tuesday.

Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio have recently been announced as Miami Dolphins minority owners last week. The announcement came with majority owner Stephen Ross in a bid to garner interest in the growing Hispanic market. Ross has also been trying to associate the football team with a more show business flair. If that’s the deal, I think Gloria Estefan fits the bill perfectly. The singing sensation is truly on a whole other level when it comes to being an entrepreneur. I think that it’s a match made in heaven. Let’s just hope that the Dolphins have big wins to show for it.

Usher is a Cheater

Is Usher having some trouble at home? The R&B singer has been spotted with Island Def Jam staffer Grace Miguel several times. Most recently, the pair has been seen at the Malibu Country Market. It doesn’t exactly sound like a business or professional setting. And Usher was reportedly not wearing his wedding band. He better hurry up and put that ring back on before his wife Tameka Foster finds out. Or maybe he should just file for divorce. None of us can say that we didn’t see it coming. Everyone knows that you don’t marry someone your mama doesn’t like.

The pop star apparently doesn’t want to leave the English capital without visiting Buckingham Palace and meeting Queen Elizabeth herself. A source said the following about Britney Spears’ wishes: “Britney’s schedule has been crazy from the minute she arrived in Britain. But no way does she want to leave without visiting the queen. She has told her aides she is desperate for her sons to rub shoulders with royalty. And she does not want to be disappointed. Britney loves everything the royal family stands for, so this would make a dream come true.” I’m sure that Britney Spears will see her dream come true. After all, what visitor in England doesn’t get the chance to see such tourist attractions as Big Ben or the Queen?

Michael Jackson in doubt of himself

The singer recently released a statement in which he expresses his anger towards the fact that he is supposed to do fifty shows in London, whereas the initial plan was for 10, and also mentioning that he does not believe he will be able to perform them all. Michael Jackson said: “I don’t know how I’m going to do 50 shows, I’m not a big eater – I need to put some weight on. I’m really angry with them for booking me up to do 50 shows. I only wanted to do 10, and take the tour around the world to other cities, not 50 in one place. I went to bed knowing I’d sold 10 dates, and woke up to the news I was booked to do 50.” Well, this is what happens when you’re in as big of a debt whole as Michael Jackson is… you’re basically in the promoter’s pocket. And the promoter, a reasonable entity as any other, will suck you dry of even bone’s marrow for the sake of and extra buck… or million, or so.

Amanda Holden says it’s a “blessing” that emotionally exhausted Susan Boyle didn’t win Britain’s Got Talent.

Amanda Holden says it’s a “blessing” that exhausted Susan Boyle didn’t win Britain’s Got Talent.

The judge, who sits on the hit TV show’s panel alongside Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, believes that Boyle was lucky to have missed out on the top spot.

The Scottish singing phenomenon – who was pipped to the post by dance act Diversity – has been admitted to hospital after reportedly suffering a nervous breakdown.

She is now said to be resting at London’s Priory Clinic.

Holden said: “It’s taken its toll on her – she’s gone from a woman that nobody knew to worldwide fame. For anybody in the business to handle that kind of stress is an enormous amount of pressure, and I think she probably has just crumbled under it.

“Actually it’s probably a blessing that she didn’t win because the spotlight’s not so heavily on her.

“Perhaps now, she can just relax and enjoy what’s happening to her rather than feel the pressure.”

Health experts have suggested Boyle, who was flung into the global media spotlight after stunning BGT audiences with her vocals, may already have psychological problems.

Before Scarlett Johansson’s tragic release of her album ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head’, the actress and wannabe singer recorded a duets album with Pete Yorn in 2006 called ‘Break Up’. According to Pete “I was having a strange week of insomnia and when I finally passed out, it came to me in a dream. I woke up and the whole thing was in my head, fully formed.” Scarlett was intrigued by it and agreed to the project which Pete had been fiercely protective of until now. ‘Break Up’ will be released in June but there’s already a track that made it onto the internet called ‘Relator’. There’s no amount of reverb that can make Scarlett’s voice appealing to me. I love her but she needs to give up singing or at least try to sing in a different style.

Singing sensation Susan Boyle makes US TV debut

Unlikely Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle’s rise to international stardom continued as she made her US TV debut.

The shy Scottish singer’s Les Miserables performance on the show has made her a global YouTube sensation.

Boyle, 48, appeared live via satellite in an interview with one of America’s leading TV personalities, Diane Sawyer, on Good Morning America.

Asked what she thought of her new-found stardom, Boyle giggled and said: “Most mornings, I wake up with a smile, I can’t believe it has happened.

“I was pretty nervous, it was an audition and I wanted to do as well as I could.”

Asked about being bullied as a youngster, Boyle said: “They did a bit, but they always do with someone who is quiet and I tended to be quiet at school.

“Well they have turned around, they are nice to me now, so we will move on from there.”

Asked about her claim of never being kissed, Boyle said: “Aaah, no comment. I don’t want to talk about that, I don’t want to talk about that.”

Sawyer asked Boyle what she would do with the show’s prize money if, as expected, she wins the competition. “Well it is just baby steps at the moment, we shall see how things progress.”

Madonna has questionable morals

The pop singer is apparently having trouble adopting a three-year old Malawian girl due to her “questionable morals”, as Malawian authorities claim. An official from the Malawian Ministry of Women and Child Welfare development had the following to say about Madonna: “Our official policy is that we do not encourage our children to be sent into broken homes. Madonna’s relationships may negatively affect the adoption of Mercy. The news she is linked to another woman’s husband and a young man less than half her age makes us question her morals.” Well, it seems that here we have it: Madonna did it all to herself. Her relationship with Jesus Luz, her ties to A-Rod… all are signs that she’s not too fit for parenting. But of course the brooding instinct, which seems to have taken over many of today’s celebrities including Madonna does not easily fade away.

Earlier this week, news broke out that LeAnn Rimes was having an affair with her TV movie co-star Eddie Cibrian. The 26-year old country singer took to her official website to address the situation. She said “This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support. I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white. Have Faith, Le.” Funny, I sense no denial in that statement.

Pussycat Dolls Do Jai Ho Officially

Nicole Scherzinger and the rest of the Pussycat Dolls arrived at the taping of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon at NBC Studios in Rockefeller Center this past Tuesday looking all ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The girls have claimed their own mix to the Oscar-winning movie’s theme song as their single. The girls performed ‘Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)’ on the show. They have also shot a video for the said track in Vienna with director Thomas Kloss who has previously worked with the likes of Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. The song’s writer, AR Rahman, also appears in the video and on the new remix.
