The human shark, Michael Phelps himself denied being a sex symbol.

Michael Phelps did not just become the talk of the town, but he became the talk of the globe by winning a record breaking eight gold medals in a single Olympics at Beijing Olympics 2008.And he is definitely here to stay for long.

After his shot to fame, Phelps definitely remained on the front page, but now he returned to pool again.

Michael Phelps, 23, narrated his experience of returning to the pool as “painful”. He talked to the audience while revealing his new series of Kellogg’s cereal boxes about his experience, “I’m a little out of shape. But I will be able to get back. I am going to start working out more”.

At the moment, the star swimmer is busy with his newly minted Michael Phelps Foundation (an organization to promote youth swimming).

Jennifer Lopez ditched out of the Project Runway finale reportedly due to a foot injury but that sure didn’t keep her from competing in a triathlon. The singer/actress participated in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon last weekend and raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital of LA. And if that wasn’t exhausting enough, JLo then hopped on a plane and flew with her hubby Marc Anthony to celebrate his birthday at a star-studded party in New York City. If she knew she was running a triathlon the morning before the party, shouldn’t she have just made arrangements for an LA party instead of one in NYC?

As earlier reported, Olympic Gold medalist, Brendan Hansen, had his gold medal “stolen” from him while flying back home this week.

Lucky for him a passenger found his medal and turned it in to the authorities. Although this is a bit of good news, I can’t help but wonder as to how he found where the medal was and how it got there in the first place.
In the end, what matters is that he got his medal back. Right?

The Beckhams are living in USA for the past sometime but they are not away from England as well. They keep on visiting their motherland at regular intervals.

What is so interesting with the life of Victoria Beckham that someone is actually thinking of making a musical out of it? Oh yeah, she’s married to soccer superstar David Beckham. It’s being reported that a theater company in Dublin is developing a musical about the life of the star-studded couple. The show is tentatively entitled ‘MacBecks’ and is being considered a wild comedy romp which pokes fun at the Beckhams. Ronan Smith of Long Road Productions, which is behind the staging, says “We’re very excited by the script. It borrows from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, King Lear and Romeo & Juliet.” Posh will be portrayed as an ambitious Lady Macbeth for whom Becks sacrifices his career.

Sheryl Crow says having breast cancer helped her discover her true self. The ‘All I Wanna Do’ singer – who was diagnosed with the potentially fatal disease in 2006 – was shocked when she got the news as she had always been so healthy but says it completely changed her outlook on life.

Sheryl – who adopted a baby son Wyatt after getting the all-clear at the end of 2006 – told Australia’s Courier Mail newspaper: “I’ve really learned it’s the experiences that take you far off your course that really help you to learn who you are.

“I’m not sure whether cancer made me a better person, but it definitely made me more of an awake person. When I was diagnosed, everything came to a screeching halt and I needed to take a good look at my life. It forced me to experience everything that was going on, from grief and anger to sadness and fear. We all get to the point where we really adhere to the art of distraction.”

Meanwhile, Sheryl is set to record a song for the US Olympic team. She will join Nelly and other artists on the soundtrack, which will be featured during NBC and Telemundo broadcasts of the Beijing Olympic Games next month.

Proceeds from the accompanying album, which will be available to download, will benefit the US Olympic team.

Louise Redknapp is expecting a baby. The former Eternal singer - who is married to former soccer star Jamie Redknapp - is three-and-a-half months pregnant with her second child.

Louise admitted that the pregnancy was a “shock” after it took years for her to conceive her first child, Charley, who is now three. She suffers from severe endometriosis, which can affect the chances of conceiving, so was stunned she fell pregnant after just four weeks of trying.

She said: “It took me four years to have Charley and so this time, after just a month, it was very unexpected. We had talked about having another baby and we kind of expected the same problems as last time. When I did the pregnancy test, I nearly fell off the chair. My friend popped in and I dragged her upstairs and said, ‘You’ve got to look at this. Am I reading it wrong?’”

Louise - who currently models for lingerie company Triumph - added: “I’m really happy, but there will be no modelling for a while.”

Louise - who is due in November - says she and Jamie want to find out the sex of their child before she gives birth.

The singer also made a stop into Gucci for some extra shopping as paparazzi continued to get shots of her and her amazing cleavage – at least when they have a clear shot of it. There’s no doubt that it wasn’t just her cleavage which made jaws drop. I’m sure her credit card bill will too.

Even though they only placed second, the U.S. Figure Skating Championships were perfect for couple John Baldwin and Rena Inoue. The two have skated together for seven years, and this weekend, John decided they needed to spend the rest of their lives together, too.

After they finished their routine, John dropped to one knee on the ice and asked her to marry him. As she stood, silent in astonishment, the crowd started chanting, “Yes! Yes!” She did say yes, and the two couldn’t be happier.

Jessica Simpson is being blamed for her boyfriend Tony Romo’s less than impressive last few games with the Dallas Cowboys and someone thinks that it’s just not fair. Surprisingly enough, it’s Jessica’s ex John Mayer who comes to her defense. The sensitive yet cocky rocker posted a blog on his website defending Jess entitled “Don’t Ex with Texas”.

He goes to say that “All witty barbs, blogs, and fashion policing aside, that girl loves Texas more than you know. It’s one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don’t try and take that away from her. (You probably wouldn’t be able to, but it’s less work for all involved.)”

Former Olympic figure skater Dorothy Hamill has been undergoing treatments for breast cancer. These treatments are taking place at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.

She has been taking the treatments but decided to let the public know because she is planning to take a short break from her Broadway on Ice show. She plans to reup with the group later this month in Fort Lauderdale.

Her friend Dean Moye says, “She’s been dealing with this for longer than she’d want anyone to know. She’s got a good support team around her. It’s still very early in the process. They’re still doing tests to determine what steps to take next.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery.

While we are all enamored with Turk and Carla on Scrubs, in real life, Donald Faison dates CaCee Cobb, the best friend of none other than Jessica Simpson.  So, what’s his take on Jess’s obsession with Tony Romo?

Donald actually likes the two of them together.  Will they be hooking up for cozy couples only dinners together now?  Maybe not.  Donald says, “CaCee and I prefer to keep our relationship away from the glitz and cameras.  But he is a great guy.”

They did spend some time together when the two couples met to help CaCee celebrate her thirtieth birthday at Teddy’s nightclub.  Donald continued about Tony, “I think he’s really, really, really smart.  He’s a really genuine guy.”

Jessica with a smart guy?  It’s a good thing because we all know she’s a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

David Beckham attracted Hollywood stars Sunday the same way he draws defenders on the soccer field.

A glittery array of Oscar winners and entertainment world luminaries turned out for what was billed as an official welcome-to-Los Angeles party for the international soccer icon and his wife, pop singer Victoria.

With Tom Cruise and Will Smith playing co-hosts for the invitation-only bash at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary gallery, the guest list was long and deep.

Director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer were among the first to arrive. Brooke Shields was there. “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria popped in, followed by “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller, who managed the Spice Girls pop group that made Victoria Beckham famous.

Wesley Snipes and Quincy Jones came to welcome the soccer star, as did Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Vivica Fox showed up too.

The Beckhams arrived with Cruise, accompanied by wife Katie Holmes, and Smith, with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Cruise flew in for the bash from Germany, where he is shooting his newest film.

For the British Beckhams, it was a taste of classic Hollywood. A red carpet was rolled out at the entrance. A small army of police patrolled streets for blocks. There were limousines and TV cameras by the dozen. Helicopters thumped overhead.

Inside, the warehouse-like venue was transformed with couches, elaborate lighting and floral arrangements into a glittery nightclub. Music blared.

If Beckham was embarrassed by deafening cheers from fans at his sold-out debut Saturday as a Los Angeles Galaxy player, he must have been dumbfounded by the profusion of celebrity sparkle at the party.

But he said nothing on his way in, only waving at TV cameras and reporters.

With friends and family arriving in Paris for their wedding on Saturday, Tony Parker swept Eva Longoria off for a surprise Fourth of July visit to one of the world’s most romantic sites. On Tuesday afternoon, the couple stole off from their Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome suite, heading out to the Paris Heliport to fly to a mystery destination. Their destination, in fact, was France’s picturesque Mont Saint-Michel, a 6th-century medieval citadel nestled within a large sea-fed inlet bay celebrated for its isolation and captivating views. The location is so unusual that it was classified a world heritage site by UNESCO in l979 and is France’s third most visited attraction. Hey man, the two are completely lost in love and there are having a ball out their in Paris, this is so romantic and surely an out of the world experience for Eva. This was totally Tony’s idea and he must he really enjoyed seeing the smile on her face.

The last few days have been a constant flurry of activity surrounding the death of wrestler Chris Benoit and his family. One of the first things that came under speculation was the question of steroids. There is a common occurrence among steroid users called “roid rage” that can send the user flying into fits of rage or increased paranoia. The WWE announced today that Benoit had taken a mandatory drug test given by the WWE in April. He passed. The test showed no sign of illegal drugs in his system. Of course that was in April and could have changed since then. It will be a while yet before the toxicology reports are released. I think the most astonishing part will be if those reports come back clean. Then there will be nothing to blame this tragedy on except for the man himself. Too many people always want to find a reason as to why or something to point a finger at. I believe the sad reality here will be that Benoit really was a violent man. His wife Nancy stated as much when she filed for divorce in 2003. Sometimes there is nothing to blame but the person and when that person is also dead, it can leave a lot of people longing for closure that they may never receive.

Police have recently confirmed that Canadian pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffocated his wife and seven year old son before hanging himself. News like this always tends to come out of left field. It sure makes less important headlines look like candy. There is nothing to do but speculate about why he would do something like this. And who could ever kill their own child? Chris’ wife Nancy tried to file for divorce a few years ago, stating that it was because of domestic abuse in the home. The divorce appeal was then withdrawn. That is enough in itself to be obvious they had not been happy together in quite a while. It leads me to ask why she didn’t get out when she had the chance. Maybe she really didn’t see this coming but if she wanted to leave once then surely she must have had an idea. The tragedy was discovered when Benoit failed to appear at a Pay per View event that he was scheduled to perform at.

David and Victoria are set to move into a $30 million mansion near Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The couple is moving to the States in the summer after the soccer star signed a deal with Los Angeles Galaxy and they are said to be keen on the seven-bedroom Beverly Hills property because of its secluded location.

A source told: ”It’s been a long process trying to find the ideal home but this one ticks the most boxes. The fact it is so close to Tom and Katie’s house is ideal for Victoria.”

The mansion includes a tennis court, swimming pool, home cinema, seven bathrooms, six fountains, two acres of landscaped gardens and a separate guest apartment. The long drives and secluded grounds offer security and privacy.

Neighbors of Tom and Katie confirmed that the Beckhams are interested in the house.

For Victoria this is the perfect place maybe because she will be close to her good friend Katie. They met last year on Paris’ Fashion Week and they have become very close. Victoria even attended Katie’s marriage to Tom last year.
