Paris Hilton takes to Twitter after arrest

Paris Hilton took to her Twitter account just hours after she was arrested in Las Vegas – to wish her followers ‘sweet dreams’. The socialite was arrested on Friday night after she was allegedly caught carrying cocaine. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and released on her own recognizance at around 2.45am on Saturday morning. Less than an hour later, new messages began appearing on her Twitter account. “In bed watching ‘Family Guy.’ Love this show! So hilarious! Stewie is my favorite love his accent,” the first post said. The next tweet, sent about an hour later, read, “Going to bed. Sweet dreams everyone. Xoxo Paris.” She and boyfriend Cy Waits were both arrested after officers noticed what they thought was marijuana smoke coming from the car he was driving. He was arrested on drink-driving charges and was also booked into Clark County Detention Center. Hilton says the purse in which the drugs were allegedly found by police doesn’t belong to her, sources told celebrity website TMZ.com.

Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren has said she feels ‘stronger than ever’ in her first interview in nine months. The 30 year old has spoken out for the first time since her split with the golfer and said she is concentrating on their two children through this difficult time. She said exclusively to PEOPLE magazine: “I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children.” The Swedish model added that she feels good despite her now-ex-husband’s infidelities. She added: “I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions and myself.” Nordegren said she only plans to give this one interview and wants to keep her children out of the limelight. She said: “My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation. I am going to keep taking classes, but my main focus is to try to give myself time to heal.”

Bristol Palin says she is eager to get stuck into training for her star turn on Dancing With The Stars. “I’m looking forward to this,” Palin, 20, enthused after the cast for the new season of the hit show was confirmed. “It’s like working out is my job right now and that’s going to be my main focus and I’m so excited to get into shape,” she told Access Hollywood. The single mum is hoping to get some family support when she shows off her moves. Her famous mum Sarah Palin might even make a guest appearance. ”I’m sure she’ll be down for a show or two,” Bristol said.

Nadine Coyle just can’t catch a break! The Girls Aloud singer turned solo artist recently parted ways with soccer player Jason Bell and was shunned by her band mates on her trip to Britain last week. Now, Labrinth, the singer/songwriter she wanted to use for her new album, has reportedly turned her down, saying that she would rather work with Cheryl Cole and that the only time she would work with Nadine is if it was with Girls Aloud. Well, with Nadine’s album being sold at Tesco, maybe Labrinth just didn’t want to stoop down to that level. Better luck next time Nadine!

US Open Fight Broke Out During the Tennis Match

A fight broke out between spectators on the Arthur Ashe Stadium midway through the first set of the Novak Djokovic vs Philipp Petzschner match.
Not sure who started the verbal yelling first but the grandpa and the lady certainly attacked the young guy. What do you think?

Toni Braxton’s Nevada home is listed as a foreclosure. The washed up R&B singer is no stranger to financial problems as last year she was facing foreclosure on a condo in Century City and she has filed for bankruptcy in 1998. Toni and her hubby Keirston Lewis bought the home in Henderson, Nevada for $2.6 million in 2007 but they separated last year. The home is now listed as a foreclosure online for $1.5 million. The house has four bedrooms, a pool, three-car garage and nice views. It sounds like a beautiful home – too bad she had to lose it.

Ryan Gosling teams up with his best friend Zach Shields for their band Dead Man’s Bones’ new music video for ‘Pa Pa Power’. The 29-year old actor turned rock star performed in a retirement home with a children’s choir for the video, which clocks in at just over twelve minutes. That’s a pretty long video. I’m surprised the old people were able to stay awake for so long. In non-music news, EW is reporting that Ryan’s movie with Kirsten Dunst ‘All Good Things’ has a release date and is set to hit theaters in December. I wonder if Kirsten can make a good comeback with this.

Paris Hilton may have come up with a sloppy alibi by saying that the purse that Las Vegas cops found cocaine in belonged to a friend of hers and it’s now a proven fact. The wannabe singer/actress actually went on her Twitter a couple of months ago and posted a photo of her new purse which appears to be identical to the one she was carrying when she was arrested last week. Sources are saying that there are other photos of Paris carrying the same purse before the arrest as well. I wonder what she has to say now. Now would be the time to worry Paris.

Audrina Patridge says her Dancing with the Stars partner ‘pumps’ her up

Reality TV star Audrina Patridge has said her Dancing with the Stars partner ‘pumps’ her up.

The 25-year-old is so far loving working with dance pro Tony Dovolani for the upcoming season of US show Dancing with the Stars.

She told MTV News: “He is amazing, he’s such a great teacher, he is very professional, and we have a lot of fun together.

“It’s really fun – I look forward to going to rehearsal every day.”

And the Hills star admits he might have spoilt other forms of dance for her because he ‘pumps’ her up so much.

She said: “I almost like dancing with a partner better, because they’re leading you and you have someone next to you, so it pumps you up to dance and move to their movements, I love it.”

Other stars competing in the show which premieres in the US on September 20 include Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff.

Lady Gaga is about to be immortalized for all time as Madam Tussauds Wax Museum has announced that the princess of pop will be the next addition to their collection. The singer’s statue is set to make her debut at the New York flagship location as well as other museums worldwide. Though no other locations have yet to be revealed, the museum is reportedly spending about $1.5 million creating the ultimate Lady Gaga lookalikes – that’s plural, meaning each location will have their own separate eccentric figure debuting simultaneously. I can’t wait to see which outfits they choose. The options are absolutely limitless.

Wyclef Jean was recently denied a bid to run for the presidency of his home country of Haiti. When the news broke, the hip hop singer turned wannabe politician went straight to work on his retaliation. Wyclef released a new song via his Twitter last week called ‘Prison for the CEP’, which takes a stab at the electoral commission, who decided that he was unfit to become the president. While I’m ashamed to say that I’m interested in what he has to say, I can’t figure out much since the song is in Creole. Can I get a translator over here?
